Well, it is obvious that I decided to shave this afternoon instead of tomorrow morning.

I haven't used Gentleman's Nod in awhile because I had a hard time picking up the scent. I did get a better whiff, but it is still lightly scented to me. The aftershave is a little stronger and it complements the soap, but again, it is lightly scented. However, I have to say that the frags are pleasantly masculine. Some people may have trouble with this soap, but if you add enough load, then you will have no problems as long as you get it hydrated. It is slick because I was able to get a near BBS shave in two passes. Did get a weep underneath the bulb of my chin, but I hit it with soap and cold water to take care of it without any more intervention. Finished this nice shave by applying the alum, witch hazel and the aftershave. Did get some sting in the area of the weep, but other than that, I am good to go. I think I will try shave #15 with this blade. At that time, I believe I will finally retire it, but we shall see. Have a great evening guys!

They do appear to be, Danny.....the lathering is what is the answer here. I can't do much on what has been the usual 0:20, so I need to take much more time loading.

Thank you, Joe. I have a handful of mildly mentholated soaps that I enjoy. This is my only Glacial setup, and it’s “freeze your face off” cold too. After I’m done applying the AS to my face/neck, I rub the rest into my hands. I’m able to still feel the cold on the webbing between my fingers for a couple hours after the shave.

The Glacial soap is much softer than the other Stirling soaps I have, so I’ve been scooping a portion from the tub into a lather bowl for each shave. I didn’t want to take a chance of creating a “slurry” like you had with your first tub of Cryogen. Menthol must be the factor.

Thank you, Bill. I’ve enjoyed this Glacial Lemon Chill set so much that I’m thinking of buying the Glacial Citron set (or maybe Glacial Satsuma).
You’ve bought the Citron set, right?
