Thank you Joe...Each to their own choice..If you like almond/cherry scent i totally recommend Vitos Vegetal soap...Link : VITOS Vegetale Shaving Soap 150 ml (connaughtshaving.com) it's scent is 'Full On' almond/cherry blows the cella red scent into the wind...Equally important it's lathering protection, and post shave feel are superb too. Have a great day, stay safe. Yours-Barry.
I am sorry to hear of your mom's setback. At least you were able to get in a good shave. Good luck with everything Joseph. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
May 29, 2021 Focus R48 Evo Feather Doug Korn with Druida Manchurian LEA Shave Soap & Aftershave Happy Saturday Everyone. I decided to revisit the Focus R48 razor with a Feather blade. This little razor has a learning curve. The first pass was uncomfortable. While the razor requires a little pressure, I discovered I was using way too much pressure. After correcting this problem the next two passes were much more comfortable. The Focus got my lower right neck with ease. I was concentrating so much on my neck that I missed a spot on my jawline. At least I get to try again tomorrow. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.
So sorry to hear of your mother's setback, Joseph. Continued prayers. Sent from my SM-T510 using Tapatalk
Thanks Danny. All good here, and I hope you guys are doing great. Now that we're eating in restaurants again, I really have to watch it. I still keep a daily food and exercise log. I weighed in just under 200 lbs. this morning, so I'm hanging in there. I'm determined not to let things get out of hand, as I've done in the past. Pass the macadamia nuts please.
Probably the only people the notices the missed spots are us. I feel around and sometimes check my mug in a 10X mirror for missed areas. We stayed with some friends awhile back, and I mentioned that I needed a shave before going out. My friend asked me why. Apparently she thought I had shaved!
@Paul Turner I've been using Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood cream for the last few weeks. It is super easy to load on your brush and makes a great lather. I just swirls the tips of the brush in the cream a few times, and that's all I need. I face lather and keep adding water to my brush tips until I get a thick, creamy protective lather. I know you enjoy using soaps, but you might want to try this cream sometime. The Sandalwood is a mild, pleasant scent as well. Hope you are doing well, my friend.
I was SO GLAD to have the babes save my COVID lockdown, when the shop was finally open. It DEFINITELY was a "home-made haircut"(before the babes got to it that is).
Paul, it was just my normal daily shave. My beard hair has always been blond, now with plenty of white mixed in. I could easily go two days between shaves before anyone would notice.

We've been to our hair stylist twice in the last few weeks too. Another good thing about getting back to normal. Normally we go about every five weeks. My home haircuts were between two and three months during COVID - never again hopefully.
I've heard that TOBS has the best Sandalwood. For me to "load like it owes you money" (a quote one of us said, and it wasn't me), I need to take more time than others. I'll look into the TOBS cream. But for a tub cream, I am also interested in Clubman's Brushless cream, as I wrote the other day.
