1. A while back, @PLANofMAN suggested getting a knot from The Golden Nib for my Gillette/Rubberset travel shave brush. So last week when getting a knot for a travel brush for @Jorvaljr, I picked one for mine. Not much to say here except I was able to pull out the original knot, install the 16mm boar and paint the letters................

  2. Very nice Jim! Getting a knot that size can be challenging at times.

I had on a while back and decided it was TOO small and sold it.

  3. They also have 16mm badger knots, but I decided to replace it with the boar, like the original.

  4. Damn nice! If u decide to part with it let me know!
  5. I've been wanting one for a long time, but sellers wanted a lot for them. I finally found this a while back, in a brush lot, and made my money back on others in the lot. I was really glad it came with it's original holder.

  13. Reminds me of my Klenzo. Same thing that mine appeared to never have been used. No box, but the knot was tight with 0 hairs out of place.

  18. always liked Barbershop style brushes myself.
  19. Great work Jim.

I use to like barbershop brushes till I realize I was alway choking up on it (holding it by the head instead of the base) Then it dawned on me I really prefer shorter brushes such as Surrey, Ever Ready C40, Simpson Cubby and Rubberset 600. The tallest I really enjoy is a Simpson Keyhole #3.

  20. I also like Surrey brushes. The handle shape is great for handling and nice boar knots.
