    Good morning!

The wife and I were awaken by a loud chirp at 3:30. Darn smoke detector! Seven smoke detectors in the house. With our open floor plan and all the wood flooring the chirp just echoed. We went from room to room eliminating them one at a time. Each chirp had us second guessing ourselves because it sound like it came from a smoke detector we ready checked. I finally told my wife that I'll just change the batteries in all of them. Couldn't do that, only two 9volts. Now I'm dumbfounded, we checked them all twice. As I'm standing in the hallway scratching my head, another chirp. I saw it this time, a red blink. It was the carbon monoxide detector plugged into a hallway outlet. I didn't even know the thing chirped, first time it's done that. If I hadn't seen the light blink I'd still be looking for it while the wife was out buying more batteries. Crazy start to the day.

Finally got around to shaving after coffee and doing last nights dinner dishes that neither of us felt like doing last night. I felt like something fun. Rabid Banana, yeah. Sweet candy banana scent. Picked out the rest of my gear which included the Mamba .70 paired with a Platinum Lux. Awesome shave! Three passes for near BBS. Light tickle from the alum.

    Have a great day!

  5. Thanks Blair. It's been decades since I have driven that many miles in such a short time. I was a cab driver for 5 years so I think I can handle it. Lol! Tunes are a must. I will tune in to a Christian radio station that plays Comtemporary Christian music, another that plays music from the 70's, 80's and 90's and then another that plays classical. Sorry my Southern gentlemen friends, but country is a no-no for me.
  6. Super shave and of course, the fine pic and gear Jim!
Well, thank God it was not a real emergency that caused the CO detector to sound off.

Yes, thank goodness. We have another carbon monoxide detector in the basement near the furnace that'll set off the house alarm and contact the monitoring company which will initiate phone calls to check on our well being. If we don't answer emergency services will be on their way. Peace of mind.

Inspired by @Edison Carter I shaved with my Gustave Lalune.
    It's a
large razor in contrast with my other straights.
The steel "seems" heavier and thicker than my other straights as well.
Perhaps the "drop-forged" production causes a thicker product.
Still, I got a comfortable and close shave without incident.

Here is my review on Fragrantica.
I "may" update it, as the initial test spray was not as interesting as a full application.
