1946 - 48 Gillette Aristocrat w/Bic Chrome Platinum blade. Used the early 46 Aristocrat last shave. This one is the standard 46 - 48 Aristocrat you usually find for sale when perusing listings. Totally different razor too from the early 46, is more mild but a closer shaver. A razor this mild shouldn't be this efficient, it easily can hang with the big boys and outshave most them. End result BBS finish achieved.
Pre: Hot Shower Lather: #firstuse of HC&C Bay Rum Razor: Kai Beauty eyebrow razor Post: HC&C balm w/ Bay Rum Scent oil added #firstuse of this or any other scented HC&C soap (if you don't count White Star). Superb performance and a nice spicy bay rum scent. I loaded the brush from the tub and face lathered. A ten second brush load (after blooming the soap for ~30 sec) produced enough lather for two shaves.
Love me some bay rum. Any chance can you compare the scent to Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum aftershave?

Unfortunately I haven't tried the Pinaud, so I can't really say. But I do really enjoy this HC&C scent. I'm happy to scoop and mail you a sample if you like (assuming you're in the CONUS). PM if interested. Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk
Thanks! I felt a 70s vibe for some reason. I very rarely use a DE, but this particular shave called for the 1976 SS.
