  4. Thanks, Clint. I'd appreciate it.
I've read through a lot of that thread. I'm more interested in the WR1 and your thoughts on the gaps you have.

  15. I have the WR1 in two different blades gaps. The standard at 0.61mm and one notch up at 0.74mm. Keep in mind this was back in 2015 and 2016 before all the super sized blade gaps appeared. James described the 0.61 gap to feel similar to a 5 on a Gillette Slim and the 0.74mm gap to feel more like a 7 on a Slim. I would say that is a fair assessment in terms of blade feel. I find both to be much more efficient than a Slim on any setting. I am trying to think of razors you have to compare with. The 0.61mm is as smooth as a Feather AS-D2 but is very efficient without being particular about the angle. The 0.74mm blade gap has more blade feel and is still very smooth and efficient. The 0.61 blade gap was my goto razor for a very long time. In fact I didn't really like the 0.74mm Wolfman in the beginning. Now they are both just automatic for me. If I had to pick one it would likely be the 0.74mm. It is just as smooth but has a little more efficiency. I am sure James has went up the ladder with blade gaps since the earlier days. I just never felt the need to chase anything higher. I hope this helps some.

  18. That helps a lot. Thank you so much for taking the time. I'm thinking about getting back on the wait list in a few months so maybe I'll have it early next year.
