    Razor: RR Rocnel Sailor 2021
    Blade: Feather NHS (1)
Brush: Grizzly Bay Biblical/TnS gelled boar
    Pre-shave: PAA Cube
    Soap: A&E Asian Plum
    PAA Galactic Witch Hazel
    PAA Star Jelly
    AS: A&E Asian Plum

    Good morning!

2021 Rocnel Sailor. Work of art. Two piece razor. The topcap is removed by unscrewing the adjustment knob. The handle is just shy of three inches according to the specs. Three fingers and a pinkie supporting the razor from the bottom and the handle all but dissappears. It felt perfectly natural to me. The adjustment knob is marked • I II III IV V. It can be fine tuned anywhere between each setting and go a couple of turns beyond the max setting should the need arise.

I decided to try it out at the •, the lowest setting. I found the angle to be intuitive and even at the lowest setting there was some wiggle room. The angle didn't have to be spot on. Super smooth shave. I did my usual three passes. I do feel a bit of sandpaper under my chin which I attribute to user error. Just the lightest tickle from the alum on my neck. Excellent first shave.

Tomorrow I'll dial it up to I and continue up the ladder as I get to know the razor.

    Have a great day!

  11. Great maiden shave with your new Rochel, Jim! Since it is a Sailor, maybe I should have said maiden voyage. Now, if you had a Symbad to go along with the razor, than it would be a "naughty-cal" (in a good way, like saying something is so bad) shave.
  12. Thanks, Joe!
I do have a couple of brushes with Synbad knots. I'll get them into the rotation during my Sailor run.

I decided an outing with an SE razor was past due. The Supply Co SE was an easy call. @jluc Jim mentioned B&M Terrorade a few days back and I decided to follow his suggestion and put it out on the counter. Anything worth doing is worth over doing, so I used PAA CHEL preshave cooling agent. My face was very cold by the time I finished loading the brush. I then went with a full dropper of B&M Terrorade into the brush. Oh my the chill was fantastic. Using synthetic cooling agents did not add a menthol scent to the intoxicating aroma of "The Dead Sea". I absolutely love this scent. Three passes and touch ups ended an automatic drama free BBS shave. I squeezed out the remaining lather and rubbed in on my face allowing the freeze to continue while I policed up the area. After rinsing I decided to add 2 droppers of Terrorade to "The Dead Sea" splash. My face is still wonderfully cold. I even got an unsolicited positive comment from the wife. That is a complete win in my book. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

  17. Very nice shave Clint.
  18. Beautiful shave and picture, Clint. Love the Chill Overkill!
I didn't take my own advice. I forgot to put the Terrorade on the counter so of course I forgot to use it.

  20. I will just leave it on the counter now. Do you know of anything similar to Terrorade?
