  1. I was constantly rubbing my face for rough patches . Now I rub it cause my face is smooth. I for some reason could never get a decent shave from any of the varieties of carts out there . I have a box of handles from probably 1986 till I switched to the DE and SE type razor.
  2. Very nice on all fronts, Barry! Shave sticks are a great value. My Tabac shavestick never fails to give me a slick, creamy lather.
  3. Wonderful shave Bill!
  4. I'd have to look up when I get home again to be sure. I think I know but don't want to say unless I'm certain so I'd have to look it up.

Great shave Jim! Glad it was the blade and not the razor that caused the subpar shave yesterday.

  8. Paul, I know that I have asked you this question before, but why aren't you doing pickups on areas you missed so that you get a fantastic shave everytime? I know that if I have a patch in an area then I just go over it again.

Wet Shaving Products SS - Mahogany
Wild West Brush Works w/2 band badger
    J3Customs Kamisori
Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements ASB & AS/C - Malbolge

Mix n Match Thursday for me. Super bowl overflowing fragrant lather from the WWB swirled 'Marble Gold' handle w/their 2 band badger knot, and WSP's Formula T soap. This knot has a little much backbone for me when face lathering (should use it more often to get it broken in), but has a really nice soft face feel when loaded up with soap. Odd combination of how that worked out, but, yeah. Hadn't used this behemoth kamisori in a awhile, 10/8 at the ends, but stretches a bit to 11/8 in the mid blade section towards the toe. Despite it's size and spine thickness, it's quarter hollow grind makes it a very audible shaver. My usual 2.5 passes, one neck weeper today though, nice BBS results. More of my usual unscented (other than the light menthol aroma) after shave balm followed by a very close matching fragrance to WSP's Mahogany (sweet/woodsy/caramel/tobacco/vanilla) with the now discontinued :( Malbolge AS & C (which adds a hint of pepper) from PAA. Unsolicited wifey approval this morning for the win.

Hope everyone has a Terrific Thursday!

    Good morning fellas!

    Shavette Shave # 270
    Dovo Shavette
    Personna Hairshaper Blade (2)
    Stirling Boar Boar Brush
    Stirling Satsuma SS and AS

I hardly use the Stirling brush because it has a habit of shedding. She does whip up nice lather. This time there was not any shedding and lathering the Satsuma is just sheer heaven.
Great BBS shave without any incidents.
I just needed 2 passes to get it done without touchups.
Did my usual postshave routine to end this fine shave.
I am off to the gym. Have a great day guys!
