Tuesday morning: Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Astra Green day 2 Master Soap Creations Cherry Freeze SS Prep ASB Alt Innsbruck AS Splash At the last minute I changed my mind and I decided to go with the tallow based version of Cherry Freeze and I’m so happy that I did because it’s such a delightful soap. The scent is very nice - even nicer than the glycerine version, the lather works up perfectly, the slickness is fantastic, the menthol sensation is wonderful, and the postshave feeling is great. The Prep and the Alt Innsbruck aftershave completed the job beautifully. I love these Astra Greens so much - they help me get such terrific shaves - today I ended up so BBS! Have a good day - be well and safe! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tuesday 15th June Semogue Torga C5 Boar - Cyril R. Salter Tallow - Ikon MR-SE/Proshave S - Caldey Abbey Lavender AS A lovely shave for a beautiful day.....well it must be...I am not working!
A Speick-ie lather from a refurbished English brush, my 1982 aluminium British tech, followed by a Speick splash, and I am off to work.
With apologies to my 8 "likers" for this planned shave, I called an audible at the sink of scrimmage and switched soaps to Stoylin Sheep, a bit warmer than the one I had planned.
I've been doing some "mind-changing" this week muhself. Cherry Freeze-sounds like the frozen fruit bags you find in the supermarket. Just take out one and smash it against your face to get the frozen sensation, but it doesn't help in the shaving persuasion of things.
Haven't used either my plating challenged Senator or minty Ranger Tech in a while but wanted to established some context for the Aristocrat coming to visit me. This shave surprised me on two fronts. The Senator had more blade feel than I recalled, and the Ranger Tech was remarkably efficient despite being significantly milder than it's open comb cousin. No clean ups at all necessary on the Ranger Tech side of my head which is a great accomplishment for a mild razor. Fresh BIC blades in both I'm sure help a lot. Now the question is how to replate the Senator Sent from my Google Chromebook Pixel (2015) using Tapatalk
Tabac Tuesday June 15th SOTD A pleasant 3 pass Taiga shave this morning to start the warm PA day. I’m uncertain how many shaves are under this blade’s belt, but it’s still doing great. I’m smooth and smell great. Enjoy the day everyone! Happy Healthy Shaves all. Josh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There some that will take trades for credit on the replating. If you happen to have some vintage razors collecting dust in a bin or drawer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Razor: Myatt Daymark Blade: Personna Brush: Jayaruh Custom Soap: WSP Lavender Post: Lavender witch hazel A/S: seaforth spice Nice shave, the myatt is super light and shaves awesome the soap is super great and the treat of the day is the seaforth spice. This was nos and my second time using it. Sort of like old spice but different with some menthol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How does one spot the universal vs the proprietary? Sent from my Google Chromebook Pixel (2015) using Tapatalk
Im not sure as i dont have a proprietary type. But my razor has a smooth head with standard posts. I believe maybe thats how? The base plate has diamond cut holes which remind me of the goodwills with the sealed diamond cut holes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Interesting shave brush, looks like you installed a Cashmere synthetic knot in it. You sure have some nice shave gear themes.
