My shave this morning was real good. I'm glad you guys talked me into buying Stoylin Sheep, as opposed to Stoylin Naked&Smooth for my Stoylin Unscented soap(Doc @ezlovan himself is included in this bunch). After a 0:40 load onto the Jayaruh brush, the paint job began. Got excellent coverage in all the right places. Then on to the shave. All areas taken care of nicely. No cuts or Knicks. 2 passes, but I almost settled on just one. For Stoylin Sheep in the summer, you need a nice cool refreshing aftershave. Osage is just that. It has a nice small pour hole, but a lot can still come out if you aren't careful. Not as much as Aqua Velva or Royal Copenhagen, but you still have to watch out. Did I watch out? Read below for the answer. Super Duper Excellent. No(but it wasn't TOO bad).
You should be singing Sailin by Christopher Cross. Great shave and glad you are having fun with the Rocnel Jim!
June Focus Vintage Williams~~Simpson CH3~~Canadian Pre-War Tech/Spoiler~~Vintage Aramis This lather is dedicated to @swarden43 This is what you have to look forward to, Steve. Gillette Spoiler is starting to make me question its further viability. Some sharps grabby-grabs on the ATG neck pass, which is indicative of end of blade-life. Not too bad, but not worth pushing the envelope. The Williams was extremely slick and afforded buffing-extraordinaire. Today's scent is dedicated to @wristwatchb who is a big Aramis fan. Charlie, a fraghead friend of mine hooked me up with this vintage bottle. Contains real Oakmoss, Castoreum and, if the rumors are true, Civet. FOTD® Let's just say that current formulations just don't stack up. This juice is the real deal.
Thanks Joe......the reason I used Sheep is to work on my goal of increasing soaps in the summer(that is, as opposed to my Magnificent Goos).
June 16 Birthday shave! Today is my 66th trip around the sun and I can't believe that I am closer to 70 than 60. So, I decided to bring out Artie and Music City Suds Lavender SS and AS for this momentus occassion. Here is a pic of my setup: In a tribute to Clint, I decided to bowl lather using Evan's LE #10 cashmere brush. I have to say that the soap really was super creamy and slick. Here is a pic of my lather: Two passes gave me a near BBS shave without any incidents. Lathered the third time just to get more of this wonderful scent and then rinsed it off. The alum did gave me some feedback on my neck, but I survived. Lol! Apllied the witch hazel and the matching aftershave to finish this great shave. I am planning to go to my favorite restaurant at O'Malley's in Southhold. It is located out east on the north fork of Long Island. I will also visit a winery to pick up a bottle of wine and visit a farm stand to pick up some fresh fruit. I was thinking of going to the city and visit Pasteur's Pharmacy but I nixed that plan because I really have everything I need in my den. Anyway, have a great day guys!
I was actually singing "In the Navy". Happy Birthday, Joe! Sounds like a great day planned! Sent from my SM-T510 using Tapatalk
