It’ll take almost all day for my face to thaw out after this intense menthol bombardment - the Glacial MITA soap has the same lovely citrusy/tropical scent and rich, super slick lather as the regular version but the menthol sensation is three times stronger. The postshave feeling is also the same - in other words it’s perfect. The Glacial Unscented balm gives such great moisturizing and soothing along with a boatload of menthol, and Fernando’s Frosted Spearmint aftershave is another menthol atom bomb. The Astra Green blade helped to ensure another easy peasy BBS shave that was so much fun!

Shave On !!!

Again another old spice shave, really been splurging this week on shaves because this is my last week home. I leave in 3 days for bootcamp so I’m getting the best out of it. Going with a 40s theme here today so I had to include the camels. I absolutely despise cigarettes but I figured it’ll go with this vintage aesthetic to match this shave. Busy day today. I have to be in Atlanta at meps at 2:00 today so I won’t be doing much replying today unfortunately. Other then that though, y’all have a great Thursday!

Seriously, personally I enjoy Martin’s version over the original. If you haven’t heard it, give it a listen. Then again, anything Martin sings it pretty much becomes his song because he makes it better just because of how good his voice is.

Two peas in a very inexpensive pod, the Turkish Yuma and Polish Lux. Although eyeballed the 5g heavier Lux appears to have greater exposure than the Yuma it feels more secure and smoother, the Yuma yields greater feedback. Efficiency with both is superb, BBS with no need for pick ups with my usual suspects. Although either could be my daily driver I'll give a slight edge to the Lux. BIC (4).

DE SOTD, Thur, June 17th 2021

Razor: Razorock German 37 slant- Mfg 2016>, Excellent mid range, first razor to get a true BBS with, some blade tab overhang, 2 pass with some pickups is all I need because of efficentcy of this slant. Good inexpensive razor head to have in the shave den.
Blade: Gillette Wilkinson sword saloon, excellent blade, Sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity, Good value for your hard earned $ IMO.
Soap: Razorock Irish Countryside, light scented with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Dandelion Cashmere 24mm knot, Excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle scrub + great lather painter. Very nice deep green handle, handle has a very nice feel in the hand.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Fine fresh Vetiver with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = Excellent shave with my RR German 37 slant + a Gillette Wilkinson coated blade.

My two favorites from him are "Houston" and "Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime". His singing voice is a bit deeper than his talking voice, isn't it?
