    Thursday's Shave

    This has been my setup the past two days and it's been a great one. New soap and aftershave for me.

    I've had the Figaro Bluice aftershave on my "out of stock notification list" with Italian Barber and I had almost given up hope. Thankfully, it arrived. It is very similar to Epsilon Blue Mediterranean and also the very small Floid Blue sample I have just to compare to all of the dupes. I just really like these "blue" scents.

    I've also been eyeballing the XXX Fresco soap, especially since my son took over my regular XXX soap and aftershave. The Fresco does have the same scent, just with some added menthol. The 250 grams in a glass jar is nice as well.

    2 passes this morning provided a comfortable and efficient result with no irritation or mishaps.

    Thursday Shave

    Some stuff showed up today, so I thought I’d give it a run.

    Not shown, Proraso Green Menthol Eucalyptus pre-shave. Got the big tub this time. I’ll always have this stuff.

    Derby Lemon Shave Cream - nice suds, I thought it left a gooey hang back. Maybe I needed more water. Lemon scent dissipates fast. So far, good to use no re-buy.

    New Razorock handle on an inexpensive zamak aggressive head I got from Stirling. Buy a razor with no handle? What was going through my mind that day. Set up works well.

    Emperor 2 brush, my first ‘extravagant’ purchase.

    Sharp Star Blade courtesy of @Primotenore Works nice. Seems to me, guys were buying these by the pallet load at one time.

    Refill of Proraso Green Menthol Eucalyptus shave balm. Another thing I’ll always have.

    Razorock Essential Oil of Lime AS Splash. I usually like lime, even if it smells like a Lifesaver. This? Maybe closer to rotting limes. No re-buy. Not sure if I will not even give it the heave-ho.

    Good shave, but I’m getting sloppy not using my DE’s as much. But that is what the 30DC is about, refining our skills.
