I just received this ever ready, gave it some ultrasound, toothbrush and Dawn and the lightest touch of Flitz. First shave with it, extremely carefully (I'm used to DE). Smooth. I'm delighted
Very nice, cleaned up great. You do not see a lot of just brass Everready 1924(AKA Shovel head) razors.
I got it described as a gold tone shovel head. Was extremely careful with the Flitz. It was shiny before so I think it's a gold wash on top. Gorgeous design for sure.
I bought 2 razors for $10, one was a Ronson so I obviously jumped on it the second I saw it. The other is this thing next to a 1950 Superspeed for reference... can anyone identify it for me? It came in a Savinelli box, so I thought it was Italian... I've come to find out that's just an old tobacco pipe box. Sent from my SM-G977U using Tapatalk
It seems to be a Slim Twist with a non Gillette handle, maybe late 1980's to late 1990's. There were some variations on the handle design, nice one. Also, that Super Speed looks to be an early 1940's Ranger Tech as I don't see end caps on it. I'd also grab that one.
That one on the left not sure the brand but it is a 60s or later. It could even be an Eastern European Soviet era razor from the looks of it. The one on the right is a 41 Ranger Tech razor not a Super Speed.
It is a Ranger Tech... thought I picked up the Superspeed for the pic. It's already mine, took the pic on top of my counter top display This Russian, or whatever it is razor, has a chincey head, and the handle doesn't seem to be removable without damaging it. Sent from my SM-G977U using Tapatalk
Does it say Gillette on the bottom plate, like other razors? If not, then as @BBS mentioned, it could be a Russian copy.
No markings anywhere. It's a snazzy handle though...I do like it. Sent from my SM-G977U using Tapatalk
I just bought all of this...100 plus razor lot, wasn't cheap but had the opportunity and couldn't say no. What he won't part with are 3 bottom dials, 2 serial toggles and a nickel toggle. Sent from my SM-G977U using Tapatalk
