    DE Shave # 345

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Jacobson FDG
    Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock (Green)
Brush: Wolf Whiskers 24 mm Maggard Tux Synthetic
    Lather: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
    Aftershave: PAA Black Bot
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
Thayer's Witch Hazel - Aloe Vera
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Happy Father’s Day gentlemen. Superb late morning face lather shave. The MWF provided a slick lather and the FDG razor with the Gillette 7 O’Clock blade (5) easily handle the 28 hour growth. My face is super smooth and the PAA splash provide a nice post shave feel and scent.

  6. Thank you Gary.
  7. Awesome Williams products shave Barry. I do enjoy using the Williams Mug soap every now and then. I have the modern version. I have not used the more vintage version since my teen age years. Perhaps I will pick up a puck eventually.
  8. Wonderful shave Dave.

We're all here with full bellies enjoying the air conditioning. The pulled pork came out juicy and fall apart tender. The one drawback to doing it in the sous vide is the lack of bark. Still delicious though.

  13. Father’s Day Shave

    Derby lemon cream
    Stirling tuxedo brush
    Gillette Flairtip
    Sharp Star blade (2)
    Razorock Essential oil of lime
    Stirling lime over lacquer

Utilitarian shave gear that really delivers.

Derby cream in the tube is a very nice thing in the quick and easy dept.

It might have been last year that I picked this Flairtip as a raffle prize. One of my most valued DE shavers. Easy to use, non threatening, durable, great with a wide variety of blades. No wonder folks shave with nothing else and are happy for decades. Always a pleasure to use. If you don’t have one, you should think about it.

Sharp Star? What can I say, it is one sharp star. Wish I’d have gotten in on the hoarding we practiced here at 30DC before they moved to unobtainium.

Gave the Razorock lime another shot. Glad lime doesn’t linger and that I had some Stirling lifesaver lime to overlaquer and sweeten out the pungency.

Happy Father’s Day to the Dad’s.

  19. My fathers day was spent in the best way it could be...a visit with my uncle(Dad's youngest brother)and aunt. My sister came along. I hadn't seen her since before the Pandemic. They have an assisted living apartment in the same complex where my Mom died.
