Back to work shave: Joris razor loaded with Rapira Swedish Steel, Thäter silvertip and Stirling Lemon all contributed a cooling and excellent shave on this warm summer day.
Thank you Joe...I have only tried the modern version which i enjoy...Never had the pleasure of trying the vintage version.

June 21, 2021 Merica WSC/Yates Feather PAA ShaveRite 210 with Maggard Mixed Knot Godrej Menthol Mist Grand Bay Rum Aftershave Happy Monday I think. Once again the weekend was entirely too short. Back with the Menthol Mist this morning. I have to finish up some stuff. Despite telling the ladies no shaving stuff, I ended up with 4 new soaps and creams. At least they support my shaving hobby. Three passes with the Merica razor ended in a drama free BBS shave. I hope everyone has a great Monday.
June 21st Razor: Blackland Tradere SB Blade: Gillette Platinum (3) Brush: Heritage Collection Klenzo Pre-shave: PAA Cube Soap: Stirling Glacial Black Cherry PAA Galactic Witch Hazel Stirling Glacial Balm AS: Stirling Glacial Black Cherry Good morning! Awesome face freeze to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. The Tradere SB has finished its three shave run and what a wonderful three shaves it was. Not sure what I'm going to use next. I'm leaning toward one of my Gillette adjustable razors. They really will work at any setting. Have a great day! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Menthol Monday Utopia safety razor Feather blade (3) Travel shave brush Fine Snake Bite shave soap Irish Chestnut by Andy Hilfiger I think I've used this travel brush a couple of times and I figured it needed a go this morning. I little smaller than what I'm used to but it does a good job and it stores back in the handle Excellent Fine lather this morning. I was feeling a little nostalgic this morning and reached for my very first safety razor. The $10.00 Utopia safety razor. Yes...this is the razor that brought me into the wonderful world if wet shaving. I did not want to spend a lot of money on a razor because I did not know if a DE would work out for me but I have not looked back. It is also amazing how much better this shave was than my first. Great shave this morning with no blood loss or drama. The alum was almost completely silent. A little Irish Chestnut by Andy Hilfiger and this one was in the bag. I hope everyone has a great Monday.....where did the weekend go?
Well, what a nice shave I got this morning from my first "interesting" combination of the week. That's right, I said first. That Tallow&Steel is a very good soap(the "Classic Two" although there are others in that group-T&S-that I don't have). Spread very well across the face&neck. Not unlike Rise and Gillette Foamy in the spread persuasion. (Course those are magnificent goos). 2 passes. No Knicks/cuts. For T&S, you have to use a glacial aftershave frankly, and I did-Stoylin Glacial Lime. Felt great. Those glacials are powerful. Made for a nice Menthol Monday. Outta This World Excellent.
