Tuesday shave and drive by post: Today's razor is Ali's Blade smiling 7/8 with 1 3/4 hollow grind. This razor has just the right amount of smile to make the shave easy. MdC with a few drops of liquid lanolin always delivers excellent lather and finished off with Santa Maria Novella Acqua di Cuba. A little bit of tingle from the alum due to a little excessive pressure but overall an excellent shave.

    Good morning!

Broke out the Fatboy for a fantastic three pass shave! Lowest setting. Started each stroke with a shallow angle, just off the topcap allows the leading edge of the blade to contact skin. Long slow even strokes paying particular attention to maintaining the angle, both visually and audibly. Finished with as close a shave as ever without need of buffing or touch-ups. I'm not suggesting anyone shave at the lowest setting but I am saying anyone can. Technique Trumps Tools.

    Have a great day!

1st use and thoughts are positive. I'm not a big adjustable fan as being a daily shaver, I find a setting and use it without changing it throughout the shave. 3.9 ounces/110 grams. Comfortable shave and efficient enough but not what you'd expect with it at full clocked setting 8. For a $6.99 price point it is impressive though. Hope all have a great day !!

Happy Tuesday Everyone. I face lathered the Godrej Lime shave cream. The Maggard mixed knot is really starting to break in and felt good on the face. Three passes and touch ups ended in a drama free BBS. I hope everyone has a great day.

A great Tobacco Tuesday shave this morning with some long-time favourites. I realized that I haven't used a natural bristle brush in a few weeks at least as I've been using a dry synthetic on the now defunct Baker Street. The big Omega seemed almost floppy in comparison to the Evo, CH2 and 2Bed that I've used lately. I'll have a good run with some boars and badgers, methinks.
Love these scents- the soap is an 'ok' lather, but is such a comforting, familiar product. I think it will be the next focus project, though. I bought 2 tubs when I heard the company was sold 4 years ago or so, and there isn't much left.
Anyway, 3 easy passes this morning resulted in near perfect results. A nice start to the day.

    Have a great day all!

New Wizamet, replete with glue dots, that required a serious alcohol bath to remove.

Good 'n slick lather from the Franco Bompieri Colla (paste).
Not a re-purchase, in case anyone cares. ;)

I have been reading a lot about Initio Oud for Greatness and some reviewers compare it to
Nasomatto Duro. Therefore I reached for my bottle and sprayed it 4x on my solar plexus.

Fragrance notes are never provided by the perfumer, Alessandro Gualtieri,
so one must rely on their own nose, or the nose of others.
To me, it's a woody fragrance with a sweet oud accord.

Fine shave this morning. Just a couple of changes from yesterday's shave: Stoylin Frost Drops flipped into the T&S soap, and a different brush-the Maggard Marble Handle. The Frost Drops helped a little, but as I type now the coolimg effect has come to stop. The shave itself was another success.Goodness all around. No cuts/Knicks....2 passes. Outta This World Excellent.

I thought that I give the Satsuma a rest so I decided to use the Stirling BoS (Tsuka) today. It really is a lovely cologne scent. The Hembree/Maggard brush is really a nice performer. It lathered the BoS to a nice creamy, slick consistency. The Parker shavette did an awesome job cutting my 42 hr whiskers that I could have ended the shave on one pass. Two passes gave me BBS shave without a problem. Did get some feedback from the alum on the neck area. Splashed on the witch hazel and the glorious BoS aftershave to end the session. I smell nice and feel refreshed. Have an awesome day guys!
