    Burham Safety Razor
    Burham Blade

    Pinaud Lime EDC

The Williams Mug Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #277 Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Burham Safety Razor with a Burham Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Lime EDC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Wednesday morning:

    King C. Gillette Facial Wash
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Astra Green day 10
    Viking Sensitive SC
    Prep ASB
    Aqua Velva Sport AS Splash

This Viking Sensitive from Bulgaria is one of the few creams which I still enjoy occasionally. It’s very cheap but it performs far beyond its price point - the scent is a coumarin/aloe combination, just a couple of dabs on both cheeks gives fantastic lather, it has a pleasant menthol sensation, and the postshave feeling is very soothing. As always the Prep worked like a champ to cool, moisturize, and protect my skin from dryness and irritation, not to mention how great the Aqua Velva Sport smells. Another picture perfect shave!

Have a good day - be well and safe!

    Today’s shave I used the
William Elliot & Co No. 85 Razor with 345soap’s Shark Bite.
I had the urge to use Lilac Vegetal as an
after shave along with the Shark Bite Balm.
    The pairing was good.
You just never know when the Veg chooses you whats going to happen.

Razor: Razorock 2nd Gen Lupo .72- Mfg 2021> excellent mid range, well designed & machined Stainless steel razor. This razor seemed to hit all the positive check boxes for a great DE razor IMO. Daily driver for some folks.
Blade: Gillette silver blue (1) [IMG] favorite DE blade, Sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap: Razorock Blue barber, nice scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Aquarist 24 mm, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock blue barber with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers = [IMG]excellent shave with my RR Lupo .72 with a Gillette silver blue.

Rockwell T2 vs. Apollo Mikron Mk2. BIC (1).

First shave with the Rockwell. To cut to the chase I think this is great razor, props to Gareth and his people. At 101g and a beast compared with the Gillette adjustables, the T2 razor I thought out be compared to it's illustrious Zamak predecessor the (94g) 1951 patent Apollo Mikron Mk2 which happens to be my best performing adjustable. Initial settings were 5 on the Rockwell, 6 on the Mikron. From the get go the Rockwell seems to get things right, a surprising amount of blade feel and feedback but with no indication of chatter stumble. Although I wouldn't mind a shorter handle, I had no problems in any respect, getting under the nose was fine, ATG performance on the chin and moustache areas exemplary. The Mikron is decidedly quieter providing little feedback which at times can result in my hands with an occasional nick (back of the head always) from too much pressure, but it is efficient and also never stumbles.

Moving to the head shave both performed well, with no need for pick ups from those other razors. Curious to see whether cranking the Apollo up to 8 would yield more feedback like the T2 it didn't. Post shave I would give a very slight edge to the Apollo in efficiency but I have nothing but enthusiasm for the performance of the Rockwell, its feedback acually makes it a lot easier to use than the Apollo. Ok I wish it looked as cool as the Mikron but I'll take it.[IMG]
