Klar Kabinett~~Simpson 57~~1941 Gillette Ranger Tech/Wizamet SI~~Vintage Gucci Pour Homme
I noticed some beautiful Ranger Tech shaves lately and as I have my DE razors in a drawer,
I don't always see the RT. Not today.
Opened up a new Wizamet blade; suffered the glue dots and inserted it into the 80 year-old Gillette.

The Tech has an easy angle to find and maintain. There is blade-feel, but the shaver has complete
control how much or how little, varying the angle.
The base of Klar Kabinett afforded the blade a slick surface on which to skate.
Excellent results---including the notorious ATG neck-pass.
Today's fragrance dates back to our country's bicentennial.

Many fragrance reviewers---not all, tend to call fragrances this old: "out-dated".
This fraghead is here to tell you, that that is a load of hogwash.
This Gucci harkens back to the time when they were a powerhouse in the fragrance industry.

Happy Thursday Everyone. I decided to go with the Cella this morning since I have not used it lately. After scooping out a little into the Aesop bowl, I went to work with the little Semogue. Adding water slowly, I ended up with a wonderful rich lather. Three passes and touch ups ended in a drama free BBS shave. A splash of Fine Green Vetiver followed by a spritz of Guerlain Vetiver left me feeling and smelling great. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.
  4. That's a great shave Barry! It's a shame that most of your software is not available in the states.

  11. I agree with you on the "out-dated" comments from those reviewers. Mennen Skin-Bracer, for instance, is still going strong at 90(happy 90th, fellas). We may call something "out-dated", but does that necessarily mean it stinks today? Read below for my answer:

    uh-NOPE.
  12. Thank you Joe.

  13. Quality stuff in that Gucci. I like how they insert pictures next to each "ingredient".
  14. Clint, what's the difference between the red Cella and blue Cella?

Scottish Antique by Andy Hilfiger cologne

Awesome lather this morning. The Eufros is a very nice soap and the T3 worked its magic.

Amazing three pass shave with just a red spot that popped up on my Adam's apple. Not even worth mentioning but it was there. The alum was a little warm in a few places but overall a very nice and enjoyable shave.

I'll get caught up today. Things have been crazy but everything is good.

    Have a great day everyone!
  16. Thank you Joe...The states has a multitude of shaving software to our UK humble offerings.

Had another nice 3 pass'er with the New Improved earlier this morning. A razor that matches the efficiency of the Old Type before it and the NEWs after it, but without the smoothness of the Long Comb. Still a nice shaver (along with its cousin, the New Deluxe) that will always have a spot in the den. Heck, I'd keep both around just for the iconic Art Deco handle...
Anyway, the locally produced soap does what it usually does- a pleasant scent with an acceptable lather. Not top tier, but not poor either. They have hand-rendered tallow versions now, I'll probably pick one up some time as I've carved a spot or two open in the 'one in, one out' assembly line. The Reserve Cool is getting low. It will be a definite repurchase and I'm looking forward to the newer ones without the awful bright blue dye.
    Have a great day all!
  20. Some of the UK and Euro sites are very good about shipping to North American with reasonable rates and timeframes, Joe. Connaught Shaving in the UK and Gifts and Care from Spain are two that I have used, very successfully. Besides the LEs that he has, the only stuff that Barry has that you can't get shipped over here is stuff with alcohol in it, obviously.
