Great job Jason. Since I'm about to kill number 3 for the year and West Coast shaving has Hub City soaps with free shipping I ordered "Morning Hike" which has been one I sampled and was going to get it eventually. Free shipping caused me to jump off the fence.
So....I'm the lone torch bearer of the 30dc for the NB '21? Hmm.....decision time I guess, cause I was debating an end at 6 months. The Tedalus shavette has me drawn into some weird mind game purchase vortex (@Edison Carter ). It's not entirely clear if there will be a rerun after the initial production run that just happened, supposedly there is still stock left. And....there's still that want to completing a 7 day set of various design & material open edge devices/straights from one vendor (the last one purchased on Dec 30th '20 fell through, had to file a chargeback, company appears to be shuttered now). But....if I'm the only 30DCr left, might just have to go the distance.
June 24th Cella SC, ASB, ASL - Green Jason's 2019 30DC LE w/Omega Boar Seiko 6/8 Epic shaving lather mid morning, a bowl lather using @jtspartan's handiwork loaded with an Omega boar knot transplant. Super fluffy slick bowl overflowing goodness from the Cella Green shaving cream. 2 passes with the Seiko, did get a bite on the right cheek from the tip using the wrong pressure. Styptic was required...argh. This traditional grind kamisori example from Seiko was NOS when purchased, it's in better shape than I can photograph it....the mirror blade reflects EVERYTHING. DFS overall, the lower right neck/jawline didn't get the final pass which gets me to the BBS. Finished with the matching after shave balm and after shave lotion. A pleasant clean light citrus fragrance that lasts ~hours worth without reapplication. Following along, commenting as I can, not always getting my shaves posted. Mid June to mid July my busiest part of the work year this motorsport season (usually happens early September). Hope everyone has a Terrific rest of this Thursday!
Thanks Jason and sorry for the late reply. The C plate is definitely an autopilot plate. I shaved with the D open comb this morning and find it more to my liking. I also have an E solid bar and I'll give it a go in the morning. I also like the E solid bar as well. I find that the open comb is not as smooth as the solid bar plates. I have a D and F solid bars that will be in in a few days. Let me test run the D solid bar and get back with you. I think the D and E solid bars will end up being the sweet spots. I hope this helps.
