  5. Great shave, but more importantly, you made it safely to Rochester, Minnesota. The longest trip I made was to Indianapolis in 1994 for a Promisekeepers Convention at the Hoosier Dome. I stopped over the 2 nights prior to the event in Youngstown, Ohio. The next day, I picked up a brother in the Lord who flew to Indianapolis and we continued on to Bloomington to get settled the day before the event. Praying that everything will go well with Kathy and that you guys can enjoy the time together with your Midwestern friends. Take care Charlie.

  14. Thanks Joe. I appreciate the kind words.

Kathy is in deep remission and is doing great. We are very thankful. Our friend that we saw tonight along with her husband (we call her Kathy's stem cell sister because their transplants occurred days apart last year) is doing well also. We exchanged some incredible and long-awaited hugs. :) New treatment options continue to emerge to keep patients in remission longer. However, we are praying for a complete cure.

Minnesota is a beautiful place. We plan to see more friends and do some exploring before we return home. That's another cool thing about being an MOLC member...no need to rush home.

Almost forgot...you LI guys made us so hungry for good Italian food that we're on the waiting list for a spring 2022 trip to Southern Italy. We were in Northern Italy in 2018 where we met our friends living in British Columbia. The four of us hope to return next year. My NB will be over, and I plan to fill up my suitcase with any shaving goodies I can find. :)

  17. I did some test shaves with a tool that @clint64 sent me to evaluate.

Sorry gentlemen, while usually there is a technique that can trump the tool, but I could not make it happen here.

I am a fan of the Focus R48 Dynamic razor.

I don’t like the revised EVO model and advise against it.

FWIW, I have communicated with the primary US vendor of this manufacturer and he is forwarding my comments to the owners.

Razor: Vintage 7 O'Clock Single Edge Razor
    Blade: Gem (3)
    Brush: Paladin 26mm Vesuvius Chief
    Soap: Hub City Morning Hike
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: CFG Ghost Town Barber
    Fragrance: Scuderia Ferrari Black
    Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 964

Drama free shave with the 7 O'Clock Single Edge today. Mild with the Gem blade which is 1mm narrower than the original blade making it mild but still effective and a VERY nice shave, just shy of my normally glass smooth goal. VERY happy with having this piece of history in the den. 1911/12 Patent date thought to be used in 1915 so that's my guess for the razor date as far as I can read. Have a great Monday Folks !!
