  1. I absolutely love the AOS Peppermint Cream. The scent and cooling sensation are fantastic.

  2. That is a fantastic evaluation video Bill. Your evaluation confirmed I was not crazy. Keep the razor as long as you like and see if you figure anything out. Let us know what if any response the vendor and manufacturer provide to your comments.

  3. Nice video so far Bill. 17 minutes in on a razor not on my radar and will try to find time to finish it. ;)

Happy Monday I think. I had a no shave weekend. I had everything packed but just didn't feel like shaving. Of course it could have been all the bourbon and pub crawls. This is the first time in years that I have shaved with 3 days growth. At least this allowed me to fully evaluate the small drain holes on the Winning razor. In short the holes were a not an issue. Three passes and touch ups ended in a a drama free BBS shave. I hope everyone has a great Monday.

  10. Charlie, your hopeful plan to return to USI(University of Southern Italy, chuk yuk yuk)reminds me of the "reunions" my Mom had after going to the South of France. She and the Americans on that trip had annual reunions in the U.S. for many years.

    AoS Peppermint~~Simpson Milk Churn~~Barbasol FH/Spoiler~~Aoud Cuir d'Arabie
    Good morning TSD.
I am trying to wrap my head around the fact
    that 2021 is almost 1/2 gone. :shocked029:
Today's shave is a mixed bag of den ingredients.
Starting with the AoS Peppermint, which I face-lathered with one of my favorite
Simpson exemplars from around 2012, the Milk Churn.
You may notice in the picture, that the engraving says "Best Badger". This knot is, however,
Super Badger. Simpson would often use already-labeled handles and insert different quality knots.
Here's a picture with the box:
    IMG_6406 copy.jpeg
Whoever tied this knot was having a great day, because it is particularly well-shaped.
The Barbasol/Spoiler combination came out to play for a second day in a row.
I have to say, I am getting some neck irritation from the Barbasol (use error, naturally),
The weight and blade exposure is not dissimilar to my 2011 R41.
(No, @Paul Turner that is NOT a double-negative)
The Thayer's Witch Hazel and ASB soothed the area, but for the next few days,
I am going to eschew ATG neck passes.
One of my most interesting scents is this Montale:

I was inspired by (one could also use the term, enabled) @Keithmax in the purchase of this juice.
It is quite animalic and the Oud/Leather really pops off of the skin.
Discretion is advised when spraying, and I took my own advice and limited my sprays to two.
The other Montale scent I had in my den was Black Aoud, and honestly, it was nauseating.
The rose-forward accord was too much even for my eclectic tastes. Sold it.
This juice has an aura of rose, but it is much more subtile, making for a barnyardy,
masculine scent. Admittedly, the barnyard accord is not for everyone.
  17. "not dis"? Looks good to me for a double negatory. Great report, otherwise.

  20. Great shave Clint. I don't like the grungy look of a 3 day growth so I shave before it gets to that point. Unless of course, I grow a goat and I don't see that happening any time soon because I like the extra area to shave.
