Karve with F solid bar plate.
    Astra SP (2)
    Simpson T3 Trafalgar
    Tabac shave soap
    Royal Copenhagen cologne

I hope everyone has this great of a shave this morning. There are some who do not like the scent of Tabac but no one can argue about the quality of lather. This is just good stuff!

I received a couple of new plates for the Karve yesterday.....D and F solid bar plates. They popped up on E-bay at a nice price.

I went with the F plate this morning and me likie it a lot. It is very smooth, efficient and with just a hint of blade feel. Three drama free passes and the baby was in the den.

Finish the shave off with a little witch hazel and Royal Copenhagen.

    Have a great Tuesday everyone!

AoS Oud~~Simpson PJ2~~Dovo~~Frederic Malle The Night
Continuing my Oud-obsession, I picked up a tub of AoS Oud Shave Cream. Decent price, btw.
For those familiar with the cream base, you will not be disappointed.
It has all of the qualities the other scents have. Makes great lather and is quite slick.

    IMG_8872.JPG
Let's talk about the scent of the AoS.
Does it smell like oud? :rolleyes005:
It has that "pencil-shaving" accord some claim the western oud fragrances have.
It's quite woody and bares a not too dissimilar resemblance to the AoS Sandalwood.
Therefore, if you are a o
ud-fanatic such as myself, this might disappoint.
The shave with the Dovo was very nice.
Interesting to note that I get much less neck irritation when I use a straight than when I use
a DE with large blade exposure. Go figure. :shocked029:
Finished with a fragrance, which contains 100% real, Indian Oud.
    (and a LOT of it)

The most Oud-forward scent in my arsenal. Barnyardy at the start,
but when it dries down, the rose and amber accords soften it up.
    Longevity is unbelievable. 18+ hours---minimum.
    Mesmerizing.

Usually, I don't do shave reports when using Magnificent Goo, but yesterday and this morning, I had the Stoylin Glacial Lime A.S. to back it up. I really needed that, as my face and neck were beginning to sweat after the shave. Seems the more you put on, the longer it lasts. Happy to have it for these humid ugly days. It was a nice shave, but I probably should have used cold water, not warm/hot. Enjoying some ice-water as I type. Most Excellent, especially the aftershave.

Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements SS, ASB, AS/C - Future Fiction
Darwin 'Drake Certified' 2 band badger
    MaxiFli Gold 6/8

Super fun bowl lather with the Darwin 2 band badger, a @Keithmax enablement. This knot has a great face feel whether painting or building lather on skin. Owl snot slick citrus lather goodness from the CK-6 PAA formula this morning. 3 full passes with the Maxfli Gold today, WTG, XTG followed by an opposite XTG pass, BBS results, no crimson shed on a near 60 hour growth. I'm not one to usually go that long, but a long hot weekend and then a semi recovery day on Monday.....just didn't feel up to an open edge shave yesterday, didn't want to shave with a safety razor. Even though the indulgence session this morning got the BBS, I'd much rather shave growth off every 24-36 hours....a sharp open edge (and TTT) gets the job done much more comfortably for me rather than shaving off my 48-60 hour stumps. The Maxfli was hair poppin' sharp after a CrOx and leather stropping session, but still required some 'forced momentum' during the first pass, as it's a relatively light razor and thin grind. Second and third pass the usual 'buttering bread' sounds and smooth shave feel. Finished with my usual slightly mentholated PAA 'Star Jelly' after shave balm followed by a healthy dose of PAA's Future Fiction, a wifey super favorite.

    From PAA's website:
Citrus (Lemon, Bergamot & Mandarin Orange), White Musk, Jamaican Ginger, White Pepper, Haitian Vetiver, Hiba Wood, Honey Amber, Black Sage, Peppermint, Jerusalem Pine

Hope everyone has a Terrific Tuesday!

Awesome, I skipped the pass around and figured I'd watch the BST's for the EH Baseplate down the road.

Alabama awesome shave Danny! Tabac lathers well and I like the scent. Hopefully, Jason will love it when he has to do 30 shaves with it next year. Lol!

Great shave Paul! I am a cold water/ luke warm shaver all year round. Once in a blue moon, I treat myself to a hot towel shave in the cooler months.

I could do Jumbo July and just use my 5 large straight razors. However, since July commemorates this country's freedom from England, then I will go in the same line to be free of doing whatever setup I want to use on any day. I guess you can say it is another jumble theme. I will do a face shave with my G E Jones Shake Sharp to pay tribute to Jeff because he gave me this wonderful razor. I did a headshave with it today and got a cueball smooth shave.

Wonderful shave Blair! Other than having a full beard or in the process of growing one, I don't remember the last time I went 5 full days without shaving. 2 full days is my normal limit.
