This was my 61st shave with the Personna Super blade. It will go back in its wrapper for future use. The ISKRA has performed nicely this week. It is a Russian clone of the Schick Platinum from the early 70s.

The shave: The Williams Mug Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #1 Silver Tip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the ISKRA Safety Razor with a Personna Super Blade (61) gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I could have easily skipped today after the fantastic shave yesterday, but am still dialing in my technique with the OC Hawk. Two passes and a little blade buffing along the jaw line for a fantastic result. Re-opened a small weeper under the nose from the other day, but it really didn't detract from the shave. Thank to @stingraysrock and @IAmTheJody for the Superior 70 and Tet-A-Tet which helped round out the shave. Enjoy your day.

Another hot, humid day means another all out menthol bombardment - the Glacial Electric Sheep soap has such a beautiful scent, (to me!) its lather is such a pleasure to work up, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and the mutton tallow formula promotes such perfection in slickness as well as skincare. After a good massage with the Prep the Snake Bite aftershave froze my face to smithereens some more. Am I ever BBS!

File under never say never. Swee-Do/trimmed Feather Super Pro, Clark Improved King/Gem PTFE+twin half Rockwell DE blades.

The Swee-Do is an easy fit for an injector or trimmed AC blade, yields an excellent shave, a bit mild even with the sharp AC blade.

The modern Gem blade won't fit under the cap as the proprietary Clark blade did, but it will kinda on top, a fit with not much exposure but lots of gap. A half DE blade will fit under the cap with some fiddling and in the spirit of two is better than one and what's the worst that could happen I used two under the cap plus the Gem on top. This actually worked well enough on my beard and for clean ups after using the Swee-Do on my head.

Think I'll have a drink, it's five o'clock somewhere.
