Thanks Keith. We sure do appreciate it. I'd be happy with a reasonable settlement that includes chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry.
Thank you Mike. A lot of times I take my SOTD photos in advance. The calendar app helps me remember what I am supposed to use each day.
That's how it was pre- coronavirus. We have to call in advance for appointments now, although I think they are easing up on that, as things appear better here in Healthychusetts.
June 30th Razor: Timeless Ti Slim Blade: Gillette SilverBlue (2) Brush: 30DC Meet-up Brush Pre-shave: PAA Cube Soap: DG YRP PAA Galactic Witch Hazel PAA Star Jelly AS: DG YRP Good morning! Super shave to start the day and end the month. Three passes for near BBS. The alum was a touch warmer under my chin. Have a great day! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
That's a good plan, Clint. It would be better for ME to "plan the month" when it's late fall and winter. Late Spring and Summer I tend to change more often, just keeping the focus on COLD and COMFORTABLE.
Charlie, I see you're working hard at messing up my survey projections. Course we know the song lyrics: Put...the blame on YOUUUUUU If I don't see a yellow ribbon Round the old oak tree.
June 30 SOTD Good morning guys! Straight Razor Shave #281 5/8 Wostenholm Rockwell Synthetic Music City Suds Lavender SS and AS Maggard's Alum Block Dickinson's WH My last traditional straight shave was on June 16 with Artie. However in that post, I neglected to state that the shave was #280. Ok, now that it is cleared up, on with tbis shave post. It is the last shave in the month and decided to bring out one of my vintage razors. This Wostenholm got the call. If I am not mistaken, this is my 44th shave since I completely honed it with lapping films. Today's shave was great! I took my time and with 2 passes achieved a near BBS without touchups, bloodshed or irritation. As far as the soap, it made a nice, creamy lather and the scent is truly wonderful. Finished this wonderful shave with my normal postshave routine. Have a great day guys!
The Pete("Pierre") Cardin cologne should be here TODAY. They're based in Jersey-I bet they just put the cologne&shipping box on Amtrak.
Karve with D solid bar plate. Astra SP (3) Delrin handle Brush with Dscosmetics synthetic knot Fine Accoutrements L'Orange Noir soap Awesome lather. I really enjoy Fine soaps. I don't know how their new soaps perform but the old ones are just amazing. I should have stocked up but I have enough to last a while. Three smooth passes with the D plate and I think I like the F plate a little better. I'll go back to E plate in the morning and see how it compares. Overall a very nice shave. No cologne this morning. I had a doctor's office visit this morning. Still dealing with high blood pressure and the Doc ordered a renal artery ultrasound. Hopefully everything is flowing at max capacity. We shall see. Getting old ain't for sissies. Have a great day gentlemen!
Danny, good luck at handling that BP. My sister has complained of BP problems. I feel bad for her-she can lose her temper at the drop of a hat. I'm not saying that happens to YOU, but.......
June Focus AoS Oud~~Simpson 90th Anniversary Astor~~Ralf Aust~~Oud Assam Rania J. Here we are at the end of a long month for me. It's good to be part of this close-knit group, even as a simple member. Today's lather is courtesy of The Art of Shaving and I whipped a bit too much air into it, but working it on the skin took care of that issue. The Ralf Aust came out of hibernation and except for a hinge pin that could use some tightening, performed as if it had never left the stage. Pretty good work on the neck, as well, sans irritation of every sort. Another Oud fragrance to finish the shave: This juice starts off fruity and settles in for the majority of its half-life as an animalic wonder. Two sprays are plenty and eventually, it'll dry down to a powdery, musky skin-scent.
Good juice. Better than Black Aoud. I believe I have mentioned that before. Now that I have experienced what real Oud smells like, it's harder to spray on the chemical version.
June 29th & 30th NEW LC w SharpStar (2,3) TGN Finest/Maple First Canadian Maximo Gomez Cuba Thayers Jeeves Tobacco Bay Leaf AS I've run with the same setup the past two days. A quick two passer yesterday and a slower, full 3 passes today. Love these scents and my love of the LC is well documented. This TGN knot is the smallest badger in the den (22mm) but doesn't ever have a problem loading enough product. 39C (102F) with zero breeze yesterday and today. A small town in the desert part of the province reached 49C yesterday. This 'heat dome' is supposed to last through the weekend. Man, we are going to have major forest fires here this summer. Have a great day all! Edit- just realized this is the last shave of the month (I'm smart that way...). Finished off one soap and started to work on another, so I did stay on focus, fwiw. Looking forward to July with 'the crew'!
