SSA edge redone on my new Welsh Slates and finished on Surgical Black Ark. definitely feel an improvement on the edge. Got a little work to be done on that razor but having a blast with these new stones added in.
Used a synth brush, Modern Vintage Homemade Shave soap. Finished with alum and witch hazel. No sting and feeling good.

This W&B always pleases - just enough smile to make some difficult areas easier and always enjoyable to use :happy088:

    Hot water preparation
    Argan Oil PSO
    Romera Wengue Chubby Manchurian Badger
Unknown soap sample - probably Sterling of some sort

First time out for the 6/8 Robuso 216, I am a fan of the Perfectworks Silver Steel razors and this one measures up, Incredibly smooth shave using ABC cream lathered with a Keyhole 3. The after shave balm is actually Santa Maria Novella body balm, and is a heavy product. The key to using it as an AS is to use just a little and dilute it with a few drops of water before applying. That solves the heaviness problem. Why bother? It has a very lovely tobacco toscano scent that has some staying power, and it’s actually fairly economical for a SMN product when used this way.

I think this is a beautiful custom from 2010. I don’t see too many Clearbrook Forge blades, so this one was a fun find for me.

Big blade at 8/8+ and 3 1/4” long edge, and it feels great… just like a big W&B or more like the real big Rodgers. I had a little bit of work to do, as the original polish on the tang and spine was wonderful, but I maybe got it 90% back. :)
