Santa Maria Novella~~Simpson 57~~Portland 1905~~Vintage Dior Eau Sauvage EdT
JUst straights July enters its third day and today's choice was an American-made Portland 1905.
Narrow in stature, but grand in slicing aptitude, this little gem took great care of my stubble 'n skin.

The lather from the SMN is so refreshing, protective and slick.

Once again, I worked on my ATG neck pass. Two things make this pass challenging:
    1) The size of the blade (length).
    2) The curvature of my neck.

I can get most of the hair shaving it at an oblique angle, but a true left-to-right and right-to left is escaping my abilities.
I had better luck with the Feather AC sans blade, because the length is substantially less.
Dr. Mrs. Primo insisted on a sniffy-sniff of the scent I had chosen.
Luckily for me, she awarded it the coveted SWMBOSOA©

    This juice needs no
introduction. Introduced 55 years ago, Eau Sauvage remains a classic men's scent.

SOTD SATURDAY MORNING, July 3, 2021

There’s really nothing like a superb shave to kick off a great day, other than being discharged home! I’m fortunate that the rehab facility is only 10 minutes away! Apologies for this late post, but I needed to retrieve my straight razors from where SWMBO had “thoughtfully” stored them in the basement during my two month absence. After setting the den up again, I grabbed my favorite Japanese silver steel razor, the Saito SK3 and my Gibbs Adjustable #17. The blue resin handled Manchurian Badger brush my son made for me whipped up the two kinds of MWF lather I like for my shaves. My left hand cramped up a bit generating the lather, but otherwise everything else was copacetic! My one handed three pass straight mug shaves are improving and my two pass dome shave with the ever capable Gibbs went swimmingly! I feel clean, cool and dolphin smooth!

RAZOR: Saito SK3 (Mug), Gibbs Adjustable #17
    BLADE: Polsilver DE
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: Custom Blue Resin Handled Manchurian Badger
    SOAP : Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Cremo Cooling Balm.
