Thank you Gary...today's wasn't as good, but close. I "lowered" it to Super Duper Excellent. Not bad when you can lower your shave to THAT :).

    Hi all!

I got the Dannystine razor working well.
Today reporting the morning shave in the afternoon.

    20210704_170043.jpg

Today's shave was unique not just because I used a razor that the (so called) safety bar was removed and replaced with a chopped up blade.
It was unique because I finally got outside to cut up some trees that blew down in a storm a few weeks ago.
I use the Stirling Electric Sheep for this.
I don't use this scent because I like the smell.
    I don't.
I don't use this scent because it's mild.
    It isn't.
I use it because it is the only smell that even flies won't land on.
Thats right, I don't get bit by horse flies or deer flies if I shave, wash ( yes, I have a bar of the soap) and splash on the aftershave.
I don't know if it works on barflies, don't go to many bars, so someone else will have to report on that.
I kinda believe it's a good scent for those who want to be socially distant. ;)
I realize that isn't how most of you choose a scent.
    But there you have it.
The shave was what I expected both head and face, smooth and clean.

Oh and, after the days work, I did come in and shower it off. Well, what I could get washed off anyway.

    Enjoy

Dave in KY On second thought, Buttercup

Okay Gary and whoever, sorry it took me a bit. So I think I figured the ugly Duckling with the better shave is a 47 I think. I did notice the "patent on packaging" stamp on it but can't see the same on the other specimen. The safety bar may be slightly thinner on one but hard to tell. The stamps on the bottom look like a different font too. That's all I see different and am open to your thoughts and expertise on what you think the better specimen is? Thanks

Great shave, Terry! I used the mentholated version of Electric Sheep shave soap, and really like it! Be well!

    Really???
Well no flies will land on you...;)
I'm sure some like the scent.
I have looked for years to find something that repelles these flying nasties.
I'm not sure I will get the chilled type.
I used orange chill one morning and regretted it all day outside.
I'm certain it wasn't the menthol.
    thanks.

I use it for outdoor work and wonderings.

very cool.the side profile of the barn doors look thinner on the worn one.the worn one appears to have a crease on the outer blade guards? the crease would travel side to side through the lather slots.look at any tto newer than 49..to see what i mean.
