    Tried my hand this morning at being a short order breakfast cook. Seems someone moved the griddle while I was gone (scrambled eggs ran towards the drain), and it’s not completely level anymore. Tasted just fine though…

    Completely overloaded the Zenith knot this morning, the first lather...while nice and thick in the bowl, slightly dried too much during the first pass. Easily corrected in the bowl with added hydration for the second and third lathers, rebuilt to creamy (but fluffy) goodness. This knot sheds a little, a somewhat rare symptom my other 2 Zenith boar knots don't exhibit. 3 full passes with one of my favorite 'smaller' open edge shavers, this 5/8 Puma full hollow Solingen blade is a very loud shaver, every swipe is a symphony of slightly dry toast 'metallic' scraping. This blade is so tempered it 'rings' faintly while stropping, sometimes even when lifting off the skin surface. Small red area on the left lower neck, barely noticed until I saw the crimson on the blade during a rinse. Must have been the small blemish I saw forming yesterday, no distraction from an otherwise near perfect morning shave. Some skin nourishment from the PAA Star Jelly followed by the matching Noble Otter 'BarrBarr' after shave. Classic barbershop fragrance that lasts a good half day, wifey approved.

    I don't know if there is a difference between my Pre-war Canadian and US Techs, but they both shave very nicely.

    My raffle winning razor (Diamondine No. 7) came in today and is on deck for its maiden shave with me in the morning.
