I survived with no blood loss! :happy108:

    Diamondine No. 7
    Fine Accoutrements Fresh Vetiver soap
    Yagi Dandelion synthetic brush
Scottish Antique by Andy Hilfiger cologne

The Fine soap on today's menu is new to the den. Nice fresh scent and the wife approved.

I was able to complete two passes. It was a little awkward at times but that comes with the newbie territory. Scott @DaltonGang said this puppy was wickedly sharp and he is right. I was careful with the set downs and stretched the skin.

Overall it was an enjoyable shave.

Second shave with this razor, the dreaded post JMP 13, and kind of a last minute shave. it delivered a Smooth and Noisy shave. Nothing to complain about. The edge is not degrading, and is still performing nicely.

Razor- Filarmonica 13 "Doble Temple" "Muleta Sello Oro"
    Brush- A creation by @oscar11 .
    Soap- Arko
    Aftershave- Pinaud Lime Sec

    Diamondine No. 7
    Simpson T3 Trafalgar
    Tabac shave soap
    Royal Copenhagen cologne

I thinned the Tabac down for some nice straight lather.

Well I haven't throwed the Diamondine out the window. We are getting along better than I thought we would. I was so proud....I stropped the baby per Scott's @DaltonGang instructions and I did not notice a degradation in the performance of the blade. Wait a minute while I pat myself on the back.......hey I'm allowed. :D

I completed two full passes and went back for a third on the neck. No blood loss and it's still a little awkward but I do see an improvement. I just keep it slow and steady. The alum was slightly warm but it was even across the shave.

A little witch hazel followed by the Royal Copenhagen.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Wow, I love the pinned scales on the traditional kamisori - beautiful and I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before :love055:

Fabulous - keep it up, you are on a roll :happy036:

    Thank you! It photographs well.

There's a little oxidation/crud under the scales from previous user(s). I purchased as a semi restored setup, but the scales weren't removed/replaced. It's a little bit of an eye bother, but I think the looks would be on a near perfection level if done well. Not in my ballpark, maybe send it off to a pro someday.

I thought I’d join the parade of Otto Busch’s making the scene lately. Wonderful shave. I was really lucky getting this one as it was the first razor I bought and I had no idea how good these razors are. :happy036:

Boy, you miss a couple of days and it’s like you’ve been gone a month! Welcome @Hembree good to have another SR person with us.

My last two shaves yesterday and today, have been the same because of testing a new stone. Yesterday’s shave was just the first cut on the stone, unlapped and right out of the box. This morning’s shave was from the same razor touched up on the lapped and burnished hone. It seems like it will be a great stone,

Soap was ABC hard soap lathered with a Keyhole 3, and the AS was ABC almond balm.

Friday morning shave, CVH MK No.30, one of the most handy razors there is. Ultra thin blade that I prefer.
