  1. I'm having delivery issues with shave products I ordered-especially Rocky Mtn. Barber Shave Co. Course an AC is more important than a shave product(especially in the summer), but mine should have been here Saturday.

  2. Picked up a new shavette that should be here in a few days.

It looks like an older Vanta shavette. I don't think they make the half blade version anymore. This one is stamped Vanta Soligen with a 2011 date on the package.

Video below of how the blade loads but this is the complete blade version. I'll post some more pictures when I have it in hand. The blade on these are real thin.
  3. Ahh, there's your Royal Copenhagen!!!

    Good morning guys!

Heritage Colection/ C-Mon Replica SHD Badger Brush

    Maggard's Alum Block

    Whiskers: 41 hrs

I decided to use one of my favorite shaving lineups today. The C-Mon Brush has plenty of backbone and it makes a great lather. I am still trying to bury the Satsuma by using it every time I headshave, but I still have a number of sbaves left before I can play taps with my harmonica.
The Friodur is wickedly sharp. It is my 6th shave with it since I honed it in June '20. After just one pass, I had a BBS- shave. This razor had a field day mowing my 41 hr growth. Two passes gave me a BBS shave, but I did get a weep near the corner of my left mouth. For some reason, that's where I normally get a weep. Lol! Also, I did get some slight irritation on my lower right neck. The alum and the witch hazel quieted it down
Did feel the alum a bit. Splashed on the glorious juice to end this nice shave. Have a super day gentlemen!
  5. Hopefully, it will be delivered today.

  6. And now I found out it is "On Its Way", but not yet "Out 4 Delivery".

  7. Very nice Danny. I have never tried Derby blades. I have heard that they are not that great.
  8. MLOC growing pains. Hope Amazon does not take all day to get it to you Jim!
When I get a weep it's usually around my mouth where a bump gets taken off also Joe. Great shave and have a good day!

  12. I like both. :)
  13. Thanks fellas. I'm pretty sure it's the capacitor and the repair shouldn't take more than ten minutes once I have the part in hand.

Got inspired by a few fine gentlemen's use of the Felce yesterday. I concur with Clint's verbage completely- an intoxicating scent. I also concur with Blair- it doesn't last beyond a few hours.
I joined in @brit 's Spoiler longevity focus as well. I have one tuck of Spoilers that came in one of Andrew and I's trades a few years back. Used a couple, have a couple left. I will keep the Spoiler in this fave Goodwill and see how many days I get comfortable shaves with it. For reference, I am usually 3-4 days on a quality blade. One note> I have zero interest in truly finding out how many days a blade will actually cut. As soon as I think it is dulling and tugging, it is over.
Today's shave was 3 passes without any buffing strokes to finish and left me just short of perfect (thanks, as usual, to my lower right neck). Do I detect a slight indent in the soap? Shocking, it has only been 3 years...:)
    Have a great day all!
  15. Thanks Dave!

  16. I had that problem. Did not know it and called a AC repair man out.

I ordered an extra capacitor for a spare for around $12.00 his was $80.00. My repair bill is a lot cheaper than the A/C man. ;)
  17. I agree, Barry. The British 1912 is a great little shaver and the Art Deco handle is really cool. I retired my Gem Jr after getting one from SWMBO last year.

  20. Congrats on the Kenyon, Dave. I hadn't even heard of that razor before. Sounds like a neat little injector for sure. Without the need for a key to load it makes using Prolines easy as well.
