Thank you Blair. I do enjoy shaving with this Japanese razor. I guess you are happy with the cooler temperatures, even if you may have just put the “iettatore” on it.
Great report on the Winning razor Dave. I had the same issue with the Mongoose and learned to just drop the handle toward my face a fraction of a mm. This reduces the flat area contact on the head. I just automatically did that with the Winning razor and never noticed the stick or grab.
July 9, 2021 Karve “D” SB Gillette 7 O’clock Black Zenith Boar Mitchell’s Wool Fat Myrsol Agua Balsamica Happy Friday Everyone. Back with the Fat for a Fat Friday Shave. The big boar was a joy face lathering and the Fat delivered a fabulous lather. Three passes and touch ups ended an another automatic drama free BBS shave. A splash of Agua Balsamica and I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday.
Fat Friday Diamondine No. 7 Rubberset 400/3 with Omega boar knot Mitchell’s Wool Fat soap Royal Copenhagen cologne The 400 beat the brakes off of the Fat this morning. It is hard to beat the Fat......just good stuff. Two passes on the checks and three on the neck with no blood loss. I'm pleased that my stropping seems to be working out....even though I'm slow with it. I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday.

Thanks, Dave! It sure did. The AC has been running non stop since I got it fixed. It's working hard trying to cool the house back down. I keep it set at 70° and it has the house at 72° right now, so it's close. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
This morning(Friday-9th)'s shave was a dandy. Same arsenal as yesterday, but for the Jayaruh#59 brush. Right as I began the first pass, I knew I'd need that second one. Nice job all around, after a little slow out of the gate. I think for all Central Texas Soaps shaves, I'll reduce loading time to about 30-40 seconds. Some need a minute out of me, some less. I should have done better where S. Porcupine meets N. Cactus.(right over the ingrown hair area). I don't like the idea of adding more ingrowns. But a nice job elsewhere. Super Duper Excellent.
Hi all!! Took the day off and decided to get out a favorite razor of mine. My pat. 1898 GEM, an old hand made shaving mug, a rubberset horse hair brush and start to finish with the Lucky Tiger. The blade was a fresh SE Pesonna GEM SS blade that the razor is modified for. 2 passes on the face and head. Looking less a hillbilly than I actually am... I'm ready to wander out into the world. Some days I just need a change and I'm so happy to have it around. all Enjoy! tp
Fine shave Dave. I must say that the WSC Winning razor looks nice. I hope you figure out why it doesn't always glide.
Great 2.5 pass straight shave Danny! It takes time to get comfortable stropping a razor. Keeping the edge and spine simultaneously on the strop and rolling the blade on the spine without lifting the razor is more important than the speed.
