I thought that I would follow Jim once again on the Christmas in July theme so I brought out Stirling's Frankincense and Myrrh. It is my least favorite scent out of the 10 Stirlings scents that I have experienced. It is a pleasant scent, but it is too earthy for me. I tend to go for brighter citrus scents, etc. I really made a great wet lather with Evan's brush. It has a nice backbone for a synthetic. Two passes gave me a BBS shave, but I reopened the weep from yesterday, but that was to be expected with a sharp blade on its 2nd round. The alum and the aftershave gave me a real sensation on my neck. Lol! Tomorrow will be a no shave day. However, I think that I will bring out my 15/16 Wosty wedge or my Ace of Spades for Sunday's shave. This month, I am trying to use my straights that have been neglected. I guess that I forgot what fun I had shaving with them. Artie and Max had been my main go to straight razor shaves. Anyway, have a great evening guys!

  11. Was enjoying some ShaveTV and came across this guy.

I’m a 2 handed shaver and have always been amazed at those who are able to use only 1.

I enjoyed watching this gentleman, he even does the back of his neck.

Some of us have seen @Trigger do the head shave with a shavette.

It always helps to see the technique others apply as we advance our own.

Here is the link to get you there.

    Cheers. :eatdrink047:

  13. I have seen many videos on straight shaving and it helped me generate and perfect my technique. Almost 3 yrs of straight shaving, I am still trying to tweak things in lathering, shaving, etc.
  14. Thank you Gary. I m not sure you would call it exactly relaxing. I have been busy with things I need to get done around the house by the end of the month before my shoulder surgery in the beginning of August. Explains why I m behind in the posts.
