  8. After one day, I agree, Danny. I’ll have a better review after another day’s use…and yes, the OC takes a nice looking razor up a notch. I love the look of virtually every OC I own., tbh.

  9. Good thinking with the natural gas model. This one is gasoline only. It is 4500W and is meant for RVs. It has the dedicated 30A RV plug in in addition to the 15/20A options. We keep an RV out a lake a few hours away that has quite a few power outages, and I fear it will be worse with the fires.

  11. I put together a nice DE shave kit for our doc today. I kinda went nuts, but it was good therapy for a poor slug like me stuck in the middle of a NB. ;)

    Here's the stash...

3.25" SS Karve handle, SB-C and OC-C base plates, and matching razor stand

@Jayaruh brush handle similar to JR#416. Knot will be a 26 mm Maggard SHD two-bander fan, and it will have a Caduceus medallion installed on the base. Jim is a master craftsman, and I consider this handle design to be his masterpiece.

    Astra SP blades

Proraso cream and Saponificio Varesino Cubebe soap. He likes Italy, so I got him a couple of Italian products.

And, nope, no Tabac. I want to make sure I leave enough of this world-renowned and highly esteemed shave soap in the free market for @jtspartan to purchase a large quantity in 2022.

I hope your day was as fun as mine. :)

  13. Thanks Joe. He (and many others) have done so much for us. Even if he decides to sit the items on a shelf or give them away, I hope it makes him smile.

The last year has been an emotional and life-changing ride for us in many different ways. We didn't even know where to start after last summer, so we wrote a thank you letter and had a nice meal catered for the hospital staff. Our doc told us that our letter had been circulated widely through the organization. He sincerely thanked us for taking the time and said that it was very uncommon. It made us sad to hear that. We received a card from the medical staff on our last day there with dozens of personal and encouraging handwritten notes written on it. We'll treasure that card and the meaning it carries for many years.

Everyone longs for encouragement. Every once in a long while somebody calls me a young man, and it always makes me feel like a million bucks.

Oh my...now I regret not including a Tabac puck or three in the kit. :D

Have a great evening and thanks for always encouraging me, young man. :)

  17. Ten pound brisket before trimming so kinda on the smallish side for a whole brisket. I don't think I could fit much bigger in a vacuum seal bag.

    Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 979

Continuing with the Shark blade for Shark Week as it is so smooth and I am curious about it's longevity. Another great smooth shave and considering a 100 pack or 2 which I need like a hole in the head but you know how it goes when everyone starts getting them the price goes thru the roof. Can be had now for roughly $10 for 100 if you shop around for the Platinum ones. I guess I have escaped the blood letting from the shark..........Have a great day Guys !
