i noticed that, longer brushes doesn't need soaking. a rinse under tap water is good enough to hold water. the brush keeps its stifness and strenght.
with my shorter omega brush soaking is better.

  4. Interesting observation and nice shave Tolga. I tend to soak all my brushes in a iced brush scuttle while I am in a hot shower.

SOTD TUESDAY MORNING, JULY 13, 2021

The post rehab shaving journey continues. Pulled out my long neglected Jayaruh Custom Rosewood Silvertip Badger and generated my lather with my recovering dominant hand. Then Had my first two handed straight mug shave attempt this morning. I selected my Feather DX loaded with a Feather Proguard. After two slight nicks on my left cheek on the first pass, I went back to my one handed non-dominant hand technique and finished my three usual passes. I don't quite have the old left-handed dexterity yet. I’ll keep at it. Next time I’ll use my non-dominant hand to lather. I’m thinking of acquiring a Tedalus. My friend, Bill’s definitely an excellent enabler. We’ll see! The Gillette New Standard delivered its usual excellent two pass ATG dome shave. I feel clean and velveteen smooth.

RAZOR: Feather DX (Mug), Gillette New Standard (Dome)
BLADE: Feather Proguard (Mug), Kai DE (Dome)
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: Jayaruh Custom Rosewood Silvertip Badger
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Pre de Provence Bergamot & Thyme AS Balm.

Happy Tuesday Everyone. I had a very relaxing shave to start the day. The big boar brush did a wonderful job loading and face lather the A&E soap. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.
  13. Thank you Joe. ..The weather is considerable warm. The reason why i chose the menthol themed shave this morning was because i work next to huge pre-heat blasting ovens, today was my turn to start the ball rolling for the week, even after 36 hours of cooling down the heat from them is still extreme. ...The menthol & eucalyptus in the Proraso duo is a tonic...It also gives me a small cooling effect from "sweating like a glass blower's arse" when carrying out my work duties. Yours-Barry.

  15. I am sure they were blessed by your acts of appreciation. I could only imagine how hard it is for the staff of any cancer center to remain positive when they interact with their patients. I would say working with children that have cancer has to be emotional for all concerned. St. Jude's Hospital comes to my mind. You and Kathy deserve a nice vacation. I pray that you and she will have many years of good health and wonderful times. God bless both of you!
