A nice shave, despite the blade not being one of my favorites: a bit raspy, but efficient.
    The rest is history...

Shave of the Week Starting 19 July 2021

    Gillette Super Adjustable razor
    Astra SP blade
    Plisson/L'Occitane brush
    Gillette Pure SC
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Assorted A/S

First outing with the new to me Super Adjustable and a right fine outing it was. A 2 pass BBS shave! This one seems more aggressive than my Slim on the same settings, maybe it's just me. Anyway, my face is very happy. Now go enjoy your day folks

Razor: GEM Micromatic Clog Pruf (Peerless model)- Mfg 1945, excellent mid range, I usually get great shaves with this gentler than my MMOC razor but that is how they were designed, 3 different Micromatics for fellows with different beard & skin types.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(2) excellent blade, Very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap: Razorock Lavender, nice masculine scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi High 24mm Mountain Silver tip, Wow excellent lather generator, soft pillow like tips, nice scrubber+ great lather painter.
Pre shave: brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock King Louis Lavender with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = [IMG]excellent shave with my Gem MMCP + a coated Gem blade.

Stahly x2. One of my Stahly razors (have 6) has a funky cap which sits noticeably higher off the plate than others yielding a lot more gap. Treating this as a feature rather than a problem I used it with working stock handle. Head vibrates effectively for about 2.5 minutes which is fine for a pass. Remarkably fine results. I did clean up on my head with a normal mild head Stahly on the stock handle which was perfectly capable in this job with some pressure and attention to angle. BBS baby.[IMG][IMG]

Wonderful, wonderful shave with the Bunny V2. I like this version better. It’s a little heavier and I find the handle easier to grip. Same fabulous shaving head as it’s successor. I replaced the blade as it had been some years since it’s last use and remembered this time to switch to the MILD comb after the first two passes. However, the shave was sooooo close that the razor wasn’t picking up anything. So, I put in the NOTSO comb for a little further reduction and I am currently enjoying that smoothest of faces :happy036:

Oh, and a little bit of whimsy. Here’s the infamous “Bunny Ears” first documented, I believe, by @Jayaruh
