    I came to edge forward shaving devices through straights. I did so because the reputation of shavettes is they are more difficult and unforgiving. Probably coughed up a few grand easily on the way.

    Had I gone shavettes first I might not have pursued straights. Shaving with shavettes caused me to be unhappy with straights. That lead me to pursue honing until I found a way that worked for me. Probably a couple more grand.

    Shavettes are the low cost high performance option even if you buy the pricey ones.

    Don’t be in a rush with the Slim Al, use it as long as you need to. If you have GSB’s try one, they are my fave for shavettes.

    I'm looking forward to trying the Essense when the pass around comes my way. I just hope I don't fall in love with it. She is pricy but oh so purdy.

    The 50th anniversary edition Snoopy Space Omega Speedsmaster has gotten into the silly $ territory. I could’ve sworn that before the COVID-19 era they were still in the sub 5 digit price range….. They are very cool though.
