Such a beautiful razor. Always did love the two-piece Gillette England razors. The № 88 and № 77 - both the same razor just different cases. The № 77 came in a brown or dark green bakelite case whereas the № 88 came in the metal case.

I had this full set. Looks mint. The only problem was, it had the wrong razor in it, which was also mint until I started shaving with it. Now, thanks to Mike @Old School the correct 88/77 razor arrived today and is now in the set. The only thing I need to complete the set is three of the made in England Blue Gillette Blades or three green wrapper England NEW Gillette Blade that is supposed to be in it. The sets came with three blades from one or the other variants.

Edit: I've found three of the green wrapper England NEW Gillette Blade blades and they are enroute to me!

I'll definitely be taking this one for a spin every now and then. One of my favorite Shavers as well. It's in fine condition so I will definitely be using it. If it were minty, it would stay in the display cabinet fulltime.

I got a user grade one recently. Was supposed to have all straight teeth but one corner one is bent........still a good user to shave with but frustrating when things aren't as described....

No, the pics didn't load except the first one and I could't see it well. Went by their word that all teeth were present and straight thinking it would be a replate candidate. Is what it is......still may replate it but it takes the winds out of your sails...
