Cross correlating my own short lived experience with one of these things: does anybody really get a month of shaves out of one of these cartridges?
    What is typical?

I don't see any difference between the two other than changing the colors. Both have five blades and the trimmer blade. I don't notice any design changes. Looks like just a refresh... and still $15 for 12 cartridges at my local Walmart.

The blue handled fusion was the first razor I used for head shaving. I still use the handle, and looking at pictures of both heads next to each other, I agree that they *shouldn't* be any different. For whatever reason though, the new fusion5 heads just aren't as good, IMHO. I was doing ATG shaves on my head just fine with the blue, switched to the orange and got razor burn. I've switched to using the Fusion ProGlide heads on the blue fusion handle.

    i agree
I'm not sure but the old design called today: Gillette fusion 5 start
The Gillette Fusion old design feels a little sharper and more aggressive than the new design (Orange)
a thick, dense beard needs a blade that is a little aggressive and not too delicate

I see they now have a silver version for sensitive skin too.
