SOTD THURSDAY MORNING, AUGUST 5, 2021 RAZOR: Tedalus Essence (Mug), FrankenFamex (Dome) BLADE: Feather Super (Mug), Feather DE (Dome) PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil BRUSH: JR Boar #372 SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Krampert’s Frostbite.

Two passes and touch ups with the TARMAX Razor by Tom with an Astra SP Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Thursday morning’s Grand Freeze: Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Astra Green day 11 Master Soap Creations Citrus Melody SS Prep ASB Master Splash Creations Citrus Melody AS Splash There’s enough menthol in this setup to chase a polar bear out of the North Pole - even the pre shave soap from Stirling has a nice chilly punch, the Citrus Melody soap has a delightful scent which is so summery and refreshing, the lather is so easy to work up, it’s tallow based so you get great slickness, the menthol sensation hits like a sledgehammer, and the skincare is super. Essence by Tedelus Feather Professional blade (fresh). Hembree Delrin handle with synthetic knot. Soap Commander Honor shave soap. Cremo Bourbon and Oak EdT Very enjoyable Soap Commander this morning. I really enjoy the barbershop scent...nice, pleasant and not overpowering. I loaded a fresh Professional blade in the Essense and went to work. I completed three passes on the neck and two on the cheeks. I did have an operator error and set down wrong under my chin and got a little blood line.....nothing major. The alum was a little warm in a few places but I'm pleased with the shave even with the mishap. I'm really enjoying the Essence. It is an amazing razor and handles very nicely. I finished the shave with some witch hazel and a few squirts of Bourbon and Oak. I hope everyone has a terrific Thursday

DE SOTD, Thursday, Aug 5th 2021 Razor: Razorock SLOC, Mfg 2017> excellent tame mid range, great design, joy to use + carefree, excellent razor to a Newbie or seasoned shavers. One of favorites to use and will always be in my den! Blade: Gillette Astra Superior stainless(3) excellent blade, Sharp & smooth + reasonable longevity. Soap: Haslinger Schafmilch, nice mild barbershop traditional scent with excellent lather qualities. Brush: Yaqi 24mm 2band badger(Finest) Mountain lake, excellent lather generator, pillow soft tips, nice scrubber, great painter. Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area. Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. Post shave: Razorock Emperor with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm with HA. Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= :a17:excellent shave with my RR SLOC + a Astra SS blade. Have some great shaves!
