Hopefully, I will be heading out East to one of the vineyards to meet some of my friends, but it looks as the weather will not cooperate. We will see. Therefore, it is why I shaved tonight. It is one less thing to worry about before I embark on my get-together.
Tonight's shave went well. I really got a nice, creamy, slick and well hydrated lather with this awesome brush. Stirling Spice has a very nice scent that is considered close to Schulton Old Spice, but I disagree. Schulton OS had a peppery kick because it contained anise whereas Stirling Spice is more mellow with warmer notes.
I was not expecting a BBS shave because I was shaving with a blade that had 5 previous shaves. Usually, I bin a blade after 5 shaves so this blade was on its way out. 2.5 passes gave me a near BBS shave without any incidents. Normal postshave routine that ended the shave with a generous splash of the aftershave.
Maestro wanted us to give a tip for every shave post.
Here is mine:
Sometimes the blade doesn't easily go in a blade bank due to many blades already inside the container.
If a blade doesn't go in easily, then do not try to force it because you may cut yourself. Just hammer it once with a glass, mug, metal bowl, etc. and the blade will go in the bank without a problem. Also, if you use 1/2 DE blades, then make sure you put the in the bank with the edge facing the slot and away from your fingers.
Have a great evening and a wonderful Sunday!
