  1. Awesome combo, Jeff, as always! I love my 77. Although I’m sure I’ll never shave with the Vib’raz. It’s certainly a cool design. Enjoy your weekend! :)

  7. Actually, I haven't had a cut from that routine. It's like chipping ice off your car in winter. For shaving, you can do it and still be careful.

No shave for me today. My last shave with the Essence will be in the morning and then Monday it will be off to see Joe @JACarbone. I'm really looking forward to his thoughts on the Essence.

Take care everyone .... it has been hot in Bama today.

  14. Thanks, Danny! I hope Joe (@JACarbone) loads a Feather AC blade into the Tedalus, or he won’t get the true brilliance of this shavette design! Joe, if you need a Feather Super or two PM me your mailing address. :)
  15. I have some I can include when it goes out if Joe doesn't have any. Ryan also has some pro guards and pros in the box.

Hopefully, I will be heading out East to one of the vineyards to meet some of my friends, but it looks as the weather will not cooperate. We will see. Therefore, it is why I shaved tonight. It is one less thing to worry about before I embark on my get-together.

Tonight's shave went well. I really got a nice, creamy, slick and well hydrated lather with this awesome brush. Stirling Spice has a very nice scent that is considered close to Schulton Old Spice, but I disagree. Schulton OS had a peppery kick because it contained anise whereas Stirling Spice is more mellow with warmer notes.

I was not expecting a BBS shave because I was shaving with a blade that had 5 previous shaves. Usually, I bin a blade after 5 shaves so this blade was on its way out. 2.5 passes gave me a near BBS shave without any incidents. Normal postshave routine that ended the shave with a generous splash of the aftershave.

Maestro wanted us to give a tip for every shave post.
    Here is mine:
Sometimes the blade doesn't easily go in a blade bank due to many blades already inside the container.
If a blade doesn't go in easily, then do not try to force it because you may cut yourself. Just hammer it once with a glass, mug, metal bowl, etc. and the blade will go in the bank without a problem. Also, if you use 1/2 DE blades, then make sure you put the in the bank with the edge facing the slot and away from your fingers.

Have a great evening and a wonderful Sunday!

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: JR Torrey Celebrated Hollow Ground
    Brush: Jayaruh 329 Boar
Lather: Declaration Grooming/Chatillon Lux Lamplight Penance
Aftershave: Chatillon Lux Lamplight Penance Toner
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
Thayer's Witch Hazel - Aloe Vera
Busy day today gentlemen with two birthday parties. As a result I busted out the Lamplight Penance. It is a strong scent, Joe, @Trigger, probably would like it.
Top notes are Peach, Wild berries, Narcissus and Orange Blossom; middle notes are Smoke, Ambergris, Rum and Red Cedar; base notes are Mahogany, Liquor and Musk.

I had an excellent three pass shave with the JR Torrey. The scent of the toner will last all day with tenants into tomorrow morning. No need for the EdP. Hope you had a great day gentlemen.
  20. Hope you were able to get to the wineries out East. Great shave Joe
