  7. I have one, but it is a spike point. The name was appropriate, years back, because, if you were distracted for a split second, it would bring blood. Excellent razor.

  8. Now it’s time for some polishing, cleaning in the Ultra sound washer and then honing.[IMG]

  9. Had the itch to add another Tony Miller Plain Vanilla (or Chocolate) to the collection… then this popped up:

For slightly less money :) I added an “Old No.2” and 4 razors.

No nicks, just some discoloration, and I can clean up the hardware. The razors were a nice addition… a Wostenholm Pipe, a Sheffield Hill & Son, and a bigger than normal Tornblom. Not pictured was a Robeson Shuredge that was in the early stages of cell rot, but salvageable.

And this strop had the nice upgraded flax linen, which I really like.

The scales on the Swede are recent production, and I remember seeing this collarless and flush pinning style somewhere… anyone remind me of who?

    Happy hunting.

  18. Boy isn’t it!
  19. Thanks Karl. Gotta get lucky every once in a while… and I agree with Billy on the quality of a Tony Miller strop - great value, even at retail. :)
  20. Well the new Hoshi Tonbo 8000 arrived a week early from Australia. A prior owner clipped off a small bit of the tail, which allowed me to get the razor for a great price. My friend claimed it to be shave ready, but it failed the styrofoam peanut test. So right to the 9 Ball slate it went, and then through the 4-sided pasted constroption and from there to the Roo-skin strop. It now passes the test with flying colors! Can’t wait to shave with it tomorrow.
