Thank you. Now if I can just hunt down the correct case for it and/or find the correct razor for the case it came with.

Thursday mail call is as follows; all from eBay. A Gillette Slim Twist made in England. 25 NOS Gillette Super Stainless blades and Avon Friktion aftershave. DD06E314-76F6-4C13-BEDF-4414153ADB82.jpeg 36CAFC42-7272-464D-BED7-573FDFFBCF61.jpeg 2E42C9B3-ACD8-4622-8AA0-276770636D06.jpeg

Neo Gam razor. Sold in Germany but the instructions are in Italian. It is a gimmicky slant in that anyone can take a razor and angle the head to make it a slant like this.

Mine came with a skinny handle which if i had to guess was probably from a Brit flat bottom tech.

I bought it off ebay a few years ago.

I always used all my 3 piece DE razors with the same Weber Bulldog handle. I like the weight and consistent feel between razors.

Enjoy the razor and let me know your thoughts on the level of aggressiveness as compared to your others after spending some time with it.

i do enjoy the canadian prewar as i have had many, just passed them along hoping for a mint condition one.they are a somewhat common find up here..for the most part i use my solid gillette handles, they help with the balance and overall weight.:):eatdrink047:

    Two razors arrived yesterday...

The first being a GEM Micromatic Clog Pruf SE razor. Ended up getting a full refund on it because it would not open when twisting the knob. Had to record and upload a video proving to the seller. Seller said they didn't actually test it. Why would you try and sell something that you didn't even test whether or not it works? :angry032:

Second up is this NOS birth quarter and year (T-4 1973) Gillette Aluminum Tech repackaged and sold by medical supply company Clay Adams. Box is soiled but still, a decent addition to my Gillette birth quarter and year razor collection.

I had one that wouldn't open either Jody. But after a long soak in very hot Dawn dish soap water it functions again. I use a Yeti type thermal cup to keep the water hot & just let it sit a few hours. There may be hope for it yet.

I had the same experience. I used scrubbing bubbles, then dish soap clean, then ultrasonic cleaner cleaning and good old wd40 and it worked just fine after that. Lol but to be honest the mechanism is just gunked up and i believer a couple of light taps against a something forgiving and then a cleaning should fix it right up.
