Never used one . I prefer calling it a New because it really has nothing to do with the Tech. The New long comb whether in US or UK RFB form is not among my favorite Gillettes, I find the Short Comb much more effective, thus I'm dubious that making the LC less efficient by adding a safety bar will magically transform it into something I gotta have . Thank you Joe... A muhle R41 with a Feather blade is an extremely efficient duo, which I have experienced with a face shave, but never tried doing a head shave. I will have to try that.. 'we only fear, what we don't understand or experienced'...Feather blades are my least used blade, not because they are super sharp, I find them to burn themselves out after a few shaves, and aren't the smoothest either. I like smoothness over sharpness in a blade. Enjoy your weekend. Yours-Barry.
.just a rare razor that collectors get their panties in a bunch about.i like the rfb including the hybrid, new sc is my close second.but i'm biased about brit razors...not into gold plating so much..
When a razor is rare and costly it's easily understood that people acquiring one subconsciously ascribe to it qualities an objective observer might not find apparent. I put the RFB and open comb Tech into that category as well. Gotta get one my short combs replated in nickel, I'm also not a big fan of gold. Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
my 2 favorite new sc are nickel plate, but my canadian new sc is gold plate..they are lovely shavers.my new "hybrid" was a set with a rough case and missing handle,so i was spared the large cost.
Aug 14 SOTD Good morning guys! Shavette shave #293 Dove Shavette Personna Hairshaper Blade (4) Mr.EE Tuxedo Brush Shannon's Soap LE The Warrior SS P/C Lilac Vegetal Maggard's Alum Block Dickinson's WHT Whiskers: 28 hrs I decided to shave because I wanted to use a brand of soap that I have never tried before. I have heard good things about it and so with this fundraiser promotion, I pulled the trigger. Shannon's really likes water. It is easy to lather and is quite slick. It is a little goopy when it is very wet, but that is how I like my lathers. The scent has a mild, powdery scent so you can use it with any aftershave. Here is the first pass lather. As you can see, it makes a nice creamy lather. Unfortunately, the Warrior soap is unobtainable. I got a near BBS shave, but I got a small nick on my chin and a weep on the corner of my mouth. The nick was due to my being on autopilot and the weep was due to trying to be meticulous in that spot. Lol! The Alum took care of them without a problem. Splashed on the Veg. and I am good to go. Have a great rest of the day guys!
Joe, you either need another cup of coffee, or we're in for an exciting update from you later this evening.
For some reason, the predictive text setting is on and I need to turn it off. I fixed the shave post and just turned the predictive setting off.
Adjustable August Yardley~~Simpson MC~~Gillette #44/Polsilver~~C.O.Bigelow No. 32 Dr. Mrs. Primo "adjusted" the chosen Antonio Puig for C. O. Bigelow No. 32. Everything else was the same and all parts performed well. Here's some info on my post shave. If I were to criticize this cologne, it would be its performance. 4-5 hours, maybe.
