Thanks, Joe...Agadir is quite nice, but it is more of a fall/winter scent(although as I said yesterday, it works OK in the heat).
Never having done a side by side with my two Apollo Mikrons I decided it was time. Brushless shave, homemade oil, BIC blades, both set at five stops (different dial calibration in the two). I've used the bigger 50s model more often than the more svelte 60s model and appreciated the easier handling of the latter. The newer was also a bit noisier. Both smooth and efficient, no third party pickups this day. Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
Adjustable August La Savonnière du Moulin~~"The Duke"~~Feather AS-D2/Feather~~SMN Nostalgia adjustable today... Instead, I opted for a Japanese, stainless steel, three-piece razor, the Feather AS-D2. This is a very well-known razor, having probably as many fans as it has foes. The razor's manufacture is outstanding---nothing less than what you would expect from Feather. I've said in the past, this would probably be my desert isle razor. Lather, courtesy of the other side of the earth, France, and...has Donkey Milk as an ingredient. Now that's a pretty lather upon which to gaze... I'll bet you are all ready to hear about the shave itself, right La Savonnière du Moulin is probably THE slickest soap I have ever used. I (and I do NOT recommend trying this) buffed/shaved over the same spot on my right cheek/sideburn area 20x. For my second pass, I eschewed more lather, opting, instead, to use the residual lather, mixed with some rinse water and I rubbed that in. The entire second pass (no fancy stuff) without an issue. SLICK. Scent du jour is from Italy: This is an über-masculine juice. Try before you buy.
Aug 18 SOTD Good morning gents! Straight Razor shave #296 6/8 C-Mon Heritage Collection/C-Mon Replica Super HD Badger Stirling Spice SS and AS Maggard's Alum Block Dickinson's WH Whiskers: 41 hours Today, I decided to use one of my favorite setups to attack my 41 hour facial hairs. My 1-A C-Mon brush is a great performer ever since I figured out how to use it and today was no exception. It whipped up a nice creamy lather and so I was off to begin a great shave. This razor is still sharp that I could have declared the shave to be over after the first pass, but I did another 1.5 passes to give me a very near BBS result. There weren't any incidents whatsoever. It really was an awesome shave. Finished the shave with the alum, wh and the aftershave treatment. Have a wonderful Wednesday guys!
For any Sir Hare fans, I really like the design of their new website-including joining Phoenix AA and Wet The Face with popup messages of new purchases.
