Our weather is very hot as well as humid so a nice, potent menthol soap like the Frosted Lavender sure comes in handy. I love the scent, the tallow formula makes the lather so thick, rich, and super slick, the menthol sensation is bone chilling, and the postshave feeling is fabulous. The Prep and the Snake Bite aftershave both gave me the soothing, moisturizing skincare I needed along with a monstrous menthol punch. What an awesome three pass BBS shave this was!

I'm not a huge fan of the Trac II injector blade but I did get a nice shave today. Conversely I am a huge fan of the LASS Black Fern. Fabulous scent and performance to match.

SE SOTD, Aug20th, 2021

Razor: Yaqi 50mm Excalibur, MFG 2021> tame mid range, good daily driver, good entry point for AC blade razor. Head design is so small so care is needed in handling blades IMO. Enjoyable razor to use and it is carefree to wield around the face with a 50mm Kai Protouch blade.
Blade: Kai Protouch(5) excellent blade, Sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity. Hard to cut yourself for best protection.
Soap: Lavanda cream, nice very mild scent with great lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm 2band badger, mountain lake, excellent lather generator, pillow soft tips, nice scrub + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Ach Brito Lavanda AS(lavender + woody nice scent) with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with my Yaqi Excalibur with a Kai Protouch blade.

Another nice shave with the LC New. I picked up a replica ball end handle from Razor Emporium and am enjoying it with this razor. I had been using heavier bulldog handles have been migrating towards lighter razors. It was a pretty sweet 2 pass shave, close and comfortable with no irritation. I nailed myself pretty good with an OC Artist Club razor last week and need to dial things back a bit until my two trouble spots fully heal. For a drug store cream, Tet-A-Tet was a very nice performing shave cream. Too bad they discontinued it. Thanks to @IAmTheJody for sending me a couple tubes of the ASB to finish of this excellent shave.
