Razor: Drew Dick 7/8” Quarter Hollow Purple Heartwood
    Brush: Purple Haze Badger
Lather: Ginger's Garden Obsession Type (1508.5 Project)
    Aftershave: Obsession A/S Balm
    Additional Care:
    Obsession EdT
    Stirling Alum Block
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original

Thinking back on last night’s whopper of a storm, I think the more appropriate software for today’s shave would have been Declaration Grooming’s After the Rain. Nonetheless, I stayed the course with the 1508.5 Project.

The Drew Dick Quarter Hollow answered the bell. This razor is the heaviest of the straights I have in the den and love it. The weight and balance is just perfect. As a result, I am treated to one fabulously close shave.

We have a beautiful post storm day. Gorgeous weather to run a few errands. Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

  5. I was very fortunate in that I did not have any consequences as a result of the storm. My daughter, who lives two blocks away had her basement flooded.
My brother-in-law, who lives in Queens, not to far from LaGuardia Airport, has three feet of water flood in to his first floor. Yes, NYC did get socked pretty hard.
  6. Another classy shave Jeff
  7. That's what I was thinking.
  8. Thanks for asking...we are doing great.
  9. absolutely fabulous way to start the month off gents..:happy096:
  10. Very, very nice, Joe! I was not affected by the storm. We have a drain at my house and one at the basement entrance so I just had to make sure everything was cleared.

    good day gents,
starting the month off with my very first razor set purchase in 2017,the canadian rocket.
this set came from a gillette worker in Montreal,as the seller stated,
and is the early flat base plate version.
these were sold as aristocrat jr's in england at the time.

fabulous 2 passer in the usual manner,
with paa lather and splash to cap it off.
    lovely dior savauge based scent

    awesome.

  16. I hope you and your family are safe, Joe.

Same goes to all our northern 30DC brothers!
  17. Fabulous Drew Dick shave, Joe! Glad you guys weren’t affected as seriously as NYC. :)
  18. Now that is a purty handle, Danny! Congratulations, enjoy it!
  19. Truly an Out of this World Shave, Astronaut Gary!
  20. Thanks, Charlie, me too! It was a little hairy there for about 30 minutes after the car stalled. The cops didn’t want me to leave the vehicle because of downed power lines. So I had to wait in the queue for para-rescue.
