Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Gillette day 3 Ingram SC Prep ASB Aqua Velva Sport AS Splash Although I’m mainly a soap user since a few years I still enjoy certain creams occasionally and this Egyptian version of Ingram is one of them. The scent is exactly like the original British version, the lather is also the same - so easy to work up, the menthol sensation of this version is somewhat stronger, and the skincare is definitely better. The Prep is unbeatable as a balm, and Aqua Velva Sport aftershave not only smells really nice - it’s so cooling and refreshing. Today’s shave was BBS and so enjoyable! 03 September 2021 Very rewarding two pass, minor touch-up BBS shave this morning. I highly recommend both the Speick shaving cream and aftershave splash. Wonderful post shave feel. Manly scent that lasts. I get a tangible soothing sensation during the shave and after applying the splash. Nice thick, slick lather easily whipped up in seconds. For those that have not tried Speick products, next time you're looking to add a few items to get free shipping, give them a try. For those who have used Speick, they know of what I speak. SE SOTD, Sep 3rd 2021 Razor: Yaqi Excalibur V1- Mfg 2021- excellent tame mid range, nice to manipulate the face & light weight. Aluminum handle. Blade: Kai Protouch(6)+ Chinese Blue brand(1) The Protouch seemed tuggy so changed out to the Blue brand. Protouch excellent blade, Blue brand are OK, Very sharp, but not a lot of longevity I'm finding. 50 mm blades that sit for some time will lose some sharpness! Gem PTFE rules for longevity IMO. Soap: Gillette Pure cream, nice scent with great lather qualities at a great price. Brush: Yaqi lucky dice 26mm tuxedo knot, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, excellent scrubber + great lather painter + great for folks with large hands that like a nice scrub IMO. Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area. Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. Post shave: Razorock American barber(nice scent with staying power)with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm with HA. Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with my Yaqi Excalibur V1 with a Blue blade. Have some great shaves!
