I know it's just a Knack... But talk about being super stoked to come across it. Even if it was not birth year and quarter, the red handle... Wowsers! It would be even more awesome if I could find a Knack case for it as well as Mexico Gillette blades from the period. I thought about swapping it with my T-1 Knack that has a case, but I looked on the bottom of the case and it says Made in USA so I need to find a Knack case that says Hecho en Mexico - which is most likely just as rare as the red handle Knack itself. My Rotbart Mond-Extra vest pocket razor arrived ahead of schedule today. It's looking pretty good after a quick cleanup but could still use a little more cleaning on the lower plate. It has a nice logo in the upper case lid which was not shown in the sellers pictures which I really hope to preserve, but I will definitely be relining the lower section. Razor in as purchased condition... After a quick clean up to the head, leaving handle as is... Head on original handle & trying out on a couple Razorock handles for fun...
Looks like a nice win! Always nice to find a surprise such as the logo still intact. A fine shaver with any handle.

No idea why it was altered like that but somehow it is strangely neat looking. Perhaps it's a vampire Gillette or it has tooth decay.
If I had to take a guess, it looks like the owner wanted more exposed blade and bleed feel and aggressiveness, but left a couple of the teeth as a little guard protection?
