I am a newbee, never had Bay Rum, what does it fell like on face, cold,fresh awakening ? Is it good as preshave, soap or aftershave balm.
I like to smell nice after a great shave.

Hello Ice Tee....I can only comment on Stephan's brand, as that is the only Bay Rum I've tried(aftershave that is). I'd say there isn't much of a nice smell after you put it on, but it's OK. The pleasure I get is how it FEELS. Softens the face, gets it ready for the day. It's almost like a "balm in a bottle" in that sense. With the 15 oz. bottle, you get a lot and will keep it around for quite a while. I'll let others comment on other Bay Rums, but Stephan certainly satisfies me.

I tested some my new stash today by splashing some on my hands. I just had to use my finger to slow the flow. Great scent!
