They are great saws. The 460 and 455 share the same owners manual actually.

Not all E2's can open, Joe. There are several variations of the E2 and I have a few of them. The E3 added the parallel grooves on the bar. @BBS has a good thread about the Schick E models here: Schick Type E injectors for dummies.

I would say that is an E2 Charlie. Check the bar guard . I have one made in Canada that appears to be mixed parts . I think when they run out of one part they just subbed with another off the next model.

My E3 is one of those. An E head with an early G handle…

I picked up a barely used Husky 450 w/ 18" bar this summer in a moving sale . Ex military guy who kept everything like new . Awesome saw !! Sold the Stihl after buying the Husky:D

I used to insert key then go at er with a toothbrush. Opened one up once and it rattled ever since . I may have bent the spring.

it has been 28days and i couldn't find the courage to shave with a SE yet. maybe in the coming days :)

    today's shave
    soap : proraso red
    razor : baili butterfly
    blade : euromax platinum
    brush : proraso prof
pre shave : hot water splash
after shave : alum block + herbal science boom butter

euromax was very smooth with de89 but had some bite with baili. i wanted to use a butterfly today :) i dont mind a little bit of bite with alum. tomorrow i ll be back to de89 anyway :D

Thanks Danny. I would agree. I am really liking the Hawk V3A and am getting consistently good shaves with it.

Not sure what I will do next month for the Open Comb October though.... That Hawk doesn't care much for me.

    Single Edge September

FuzzTech on the Weber Bulldog handle.
    Feather blade, snapped (2)
    Razorock 400 synthetic brush
Stirling Executive Man soap and matching aftershave

The Stirling has not seen the light of day for a while so I decided to let it breathe this morning.....hard to beat the Stirling. It is just a good solid performer.

The FuzzTech provided three nice drama free passes this morning. It is a fun razor to drive.

Over all a Super Duper Excellent shave as Paul @Paul Turner would say.

    Happy Tuesday everyone!

I too have opened one in the past that was locked. It has rattled ever since as well, and I recommend against doing it.
